Yert is an experienced and wise mage who observes events with a detached, analytical eye. Her tendency to speak frankly often leads to misunderstandings, but her advice is invaluable. Despite her age, Yert enjoys thrill-seeking hobbies, such as shark hunting with a harpoon gun crafted by Eight.

3. Role in In-Game Quests

Guild of Dark Sorcerers
First appearance: At Beradrix’s request, you bring her a suspicious blue vial. Yert identifies it as an extract from impurities in underground resources, capable of weakening Plant Clan monsters—a feat requiring both magic and Metal Clan technology.

Suspicious Sage
Yert worries about Port Lux’s vulnerability. Though she mediates disputes between Eight and Agris, she privately believes some conflicts are inevitable for lasting peace.

- She shares rumors about Periton+, whose feathers supposedly enhance immunity when worn. Yert wants to gift a feathered garment to Hamprick and asks you to collect the feathers.
- Obsessed with shark hunting, Yert requests Flame Hound tails as bait for her harpoon fishing expeditions. She laughs, comparing greedy sharks to humans consumed by ambition.

- After your Force Wing grows, Yert calls you to discuss strange pillars on Port Lux’s coast.

She remains close friends with Dion, the armor merchant in Desert Scream.

3. Role in In-Game Quests

- Frustrated by the surge of bizarre new equipment designs, Agris decides to innovate herself by making a high-performance helmet from a Stone Golem’s head. She asks you to retrieve one.

Reporting it to the officer yielded no solution; instead, Morrison introduced her to Hale, who bizarrely handed her a stone, claiming something was “born.” Now the village laughs at her. Agris gives you the ever-burning Lava Stone and shares Hale’s hint: a path linked to Lava Hellfire lies beyond the Stone Golem’s domain. Blushing, she insists she’s not shirking her duty.

Officer Morrison

1. Overview

Morrison
Title
Gender Male
Race Human
Affiliation Tower of Sages
Occupation Colony Officer
Location Port Lux
Age 66
Personality Emotional
오피서 모리슨.png

2. Background Story
Morrison is a veteran bureaucrat who has worked at the Tower of Sages for a long time. When the Tower was recruiting personnel to be dispatched to Port Lux, Morrison thought it would be a suitable place for his retirement. However, upon arriving, he realized that Port Lux was one of the most dangerous places in Nevareth. Morrison sensed that his retirement would be delayed and would not come easily.

3. Role in In-Game Quests
Dark Wizard Guild
He praises the player, saying that the officers across the continent have already heard a lot about "me," and suggests meeting Sage Beradricks. Morrison worries that Beradricks might harm his health because he is tirelessly searching for something without sleeping.

Prologue
Morrison mentions that the continent is in turmoil due to various incidents. Many groups of travelers have entered Port Lux, but all have gone missing. Moreover, the Tower of Sages has sent Morrison as many as two urgent messages.
He explains about the sages who sent him messages: Procyon from the Huan continent, Sage Capella from the Pastur continent, and Pollux from the Midreth continent. Morrison considers Procyon and Capella as the real power players. They are gathering Nevareth people to support them. Morrison fears this could lead to conflict but emphasizes the importance of having allies.

Burying Sorrow
He expresses regret upon hearing that Aldebaran has died and informs that Beradricks is preparing Aldebaran's funeral.

War Clouds
He mentions the tense atmosphere in the Tower of Sages and reports that Procyon of Huan and Capella of Pastur have declared independence. The sages who declared independence urged warriors to choose justice. Morrison is confused by this. While he believes the sages will not recklessly start a war since they have maintained world peace so far, he is concerned about them acting like politicians. Morrison asks the player to deliver an official document to Black Bard and laments that the Tower of Sages might be finished.

General Quests
Morrison is troubled by the frequently malfunctioning lighthouse. Without it, ships entering Port Lux would inevitably get lost. He gives the player a power device to repair the lighthouse. Once activated, the lighthouse is restored, reducing shipwrecks.

Morrison reports a strange smell near the Colony. The culprit is ghouls that appeared a few days ago, spreading stench and disease. If left unchecked, the entire Port Lux could be infected. After the player eliminates the ghouls, Morrison is relieved that the stench and germs have somewhat disappeared.

Morrison recommends meeting Officer Shooterbuck in Green Despair. Shooterbuck asks if the player knows about a warp gate discovered in the area where the Mosquito Queen appears. The warp gate existed before Green Despair formed, but no one knows where it leads.
Recently, it was discovered that carrying a specific map fragment occasionally dropped in Undead Ground grants access to the warp gate. It connects to the Engriff Mountains in the Huan continent.
At the center of the Engriff Mountains lies a strange lake called Lake in Dusk. Many records mention it, but no one could confirm its existence or how to reach it—until the warp gate discovery. Shooterbuck claims to have found records dating back to the Proto-Civilization era.
Some claim the Red Jungle connects to the Huan continent, while others say spirits from the lake dyed the World Tree Forest in Pastur red.
The spirit residing in Lake in Dusk is said to be a monster representing the Phantasmal Clan. It lures people with its beauty and kills them. The lake was once a place where the sun never set, but after someone the spirits revered disappeared, darkness fell. Monsters multiplied, and the lake was desecrated. The spirits retreated to a tower in the lake's center and began drawing in external forces for protection, turning the tower into a dangerous facility. They captured any approaching life forms to check if they were the one they awaited—and killed them if not. Shooterbuck scoffs, saying these spirits are far from gentle. He warns that Lake in Dusk, despite its beautiful name, is extremely dangerous.

When anomalies began appearing in the lava zone, Morrison suspected that the Great Catastrophe, which he had only heard about in rumors, had begun. If things go wrong, the entire Port Lux could be buried under volcanic ash. He asks the player to investigate the terrain and provides a probe. The investigation reveals that the strata have cracked. If the fissures continue, Port Lux will be engulfed by lava.

When suspicious groups started frequenting a temple located in the Stone Golem habitat, Morrison requested an investigation near the temple. At first, there were no signs of activity, but soon, old clothes and traces of campfires were discovered. Morrison suspects this is the work of cultists secretly operating in Port Lux.

Morrison emphasizes that strength is not everything for a warrior; honor is equally important. In other words, the pride of inheriting Force and the dignity of upholding the law matter greatly. He advises that if the player wants to elevate their honor or restore tarnished honor, they should consult with him.

Morrison explains about Port Ruina. It is a place where outsiders cannot easily enter and is designated as a special danger zone by the Tower of Sages. Port Ruina is filled with dangerous mechanical monsters. The situation became so severe that the residents of Port Ruina requested external support. Morrison warns that remnants of unimaginable scientific technology still exist throughout Port Ruina, making it extremely dangerous. Instead of sending guards, Morrison prefers to provide weapons. To resolve the crisis, he plans to entrust his "device" to Guard Ibenk in Port Ruina. This device can temporarily alter the behavior of mechanical monsters. Ibenk, upon receiving the device, vows to use it to defeat the machines. He admits he had lost hope, thinking Port Ruina had been completely abandoned by the Tower of Sages.

As everyone knows, Port Lux is a volcanic island where volcanic rocks are common. However, one day, volcanic rocks that had never been reported in academic circles began to appear. These rocks were red and translucent, unlike typical lava-based formations. Even researchers dispatched from the Tower of Sages could not identify their properties. Morrison reveals that these rocks were found in a passage near the coast invaded by Dark Bladers and mentions that Port Lux was originally an exile site. When Port Lux was designated as a special combat colony, outsiders began to flow in, and the original inhabitants mysteriously disappeared. Since the island is surrounded by the sea, it was strange that they vanished without any means of leaving.
Then, one day, one of the missing people reappeared in Port Lux. Despite being gone for a long time, he had not aged, and the items he used were completely different. He also knew the identity of the red volcanic rock the researchers were studying—it was an artifact called the Seal of Darkness. He revealed the location where the Seal of Darkness could be found, and Port Lux decided to send an expedition there.
However, the expedition faced a horrific fate. It was annihilated, and the survivors testified that a hellish beast lived there. Even those survivors did not live long; they suddenly aged and died within three days.
Port Lux concluded that someone had built a stronghold beneath the volcano and imprisoned a monster unseen since the Honorable Age. Morrison says everything related to that place remains a mystery and that it has yet to be properly explored. He suggests that if the player is interested, they should visit the site and hands over the Seal of Darkness.

Morrison is delighted to announce that an official document from the Allied Nations has finally arrived. When the Tower of Sages was still in control, Port Lux had almost no officially assigned trainees and was excluded from most formal events. But now, Port Lux has gained recognition. Morrison stresses that such opportunities do not come every day and instructs the player to enter the Volcanic Citadel and eliminate the Dark Priest. Upon the player's return, Morrison expresses joy at seeing warriors grow and gives the promised reward.

As he grows older, Morrison feels emotionally dry and has taken up writing poetry as a hobby. He asks the player to bring real-life samples of a Forgotten Ruin Cockatrice and a Dark Phalanx from the Volcanic Citadel as models for his poems. However, even after that, he lacks inspiration and requests a live sample of Kendril from the 2nd Griffin Legion.

Morrison claims that the monsters in Mutant Forest were not originally mutants. He suspects a strange gemstone as the cause. To study the mutated creatures, he asks the player to defeat Parasited Ogres and Lumberjacks to find the source of mutation. However, when he finally examines the samples, he is disappointed by how ordinary they seem.

Apparently, Morrison suffers from severe foot odor. Wearing combat boots every day causes sweat to accumulate on his soles. He asks the player to bring powder from Umfra in the Altar of Siena, which is good for removing odors, and requests discretion to protect his reputation.

Morrison suddenly recalls old stories. Among the Dark Clan monsters, many remain unidentified, and even orcs and gnolls are considered low-ranking within the Dark Clan. Morrison recalls reading in an old book that high-ranking Dark Clan monsters were skilled in magic and more intelligent than humans. This led to rumors that the Dark Clan came from another dimension. Morrison himself once accidentally entered Porta Inferno during his adventures in Nevareth and barely escaped. Since then, he has been waiting for the day another warrior conquers Porta Inferno and has created a passage to it from the Port Lux Warp Center. He shares a rumor that placing a Servant Gargoyle egg in the brazier at the entrance grants a divine blessing.

Morrison teaches about the monster known as the Genie of Wrath and Fire. True to its name, the genie is extremely dangerous. Morrison heard a theory that the genie was once a god of fire. After its only daughter was slain by a treasure-hungry warrior, the genie was consumed by rage and vengeance, attacking humans indiscriminately. While Morrison finds the genie's story tragic, he warns that its essence is still that of a monster. Many have died trying to defeat it, and Morrison advises that a true warrior does not let emotions cloud judgment.

Morrison is extremely on edge due to a recent report. Two male travelers, who introduced themselves as wandering adventurers of Nevareth, reported discovering an island. A unique magnetic field concealed the island's existence from everyone. The travelers managed to enter thanks to green minerals that washed ashore, which acted as a compass. However, if the mineral content was insufficient, the compass would fail, and if the exposed minerals returned to the island, their magnetism disappeared. One day, a researcher named Hale solved the mineral issue. Morrison describes Hale as someone who is bothersome when present but intriguing when absent. Hale discovered a way to make a compass with minimal minerals, but the problem was that he scattered his compasses all over Nevareth. The first expedition revealed that the island was inhabited by the Mutant Clan and was so dangerous that Port Lux named it the Forbidden Island.

Instructor Harper

1. Overview

Harper
Title
Gender Male
Race Human
Affiliation Tower of Sages
Occupation Colony Instructor
Location Port Lux
Age 57
Personality Curt
인스트럭터 하퍼.png

2. Background Story
When the initial dispatch to Port Lux was decided, Harper volunteered enthusiastically. He remembered how much investment each nation and the Tower of Sages had made in other special combat colonies. However, due to Sirius's disappearance and various issues, Port Lux did not receive much attention. As a result, the number of warriors assigned to Port Lux was small compared to its danger level. Frustrated and exhausted by this reality, Harper eventually became a curt old man to everyone.

3. Role in In-Game Quests
Suspicious Sage
When approached, he complains about the hot weather. Even when greeted, he responds curtly, saying he is not doing well. In fact, Harper has a very troublesome issue: lately, the villagers have been arguing over political matters. Harper says he never had to take sides before, but now the situation has changed drastically, and he cannot understand it. Among the villagers, he considers Eight the biggest troublemaker.

First Meeting
He admits he does not know much about Skylid and recommends meeting Eight.

General Quests
Harper claims that although the player has earned recognition on the continent, they are still a novice. He warns that Port Lux, despite its beautiful scenery, is full of dangerous monsters and that the battles here are far more intense than those on the continent. Harper demands the player hunt the Crack King Crab. After the hunt, Harper says this was only an initiation test and advises the player to abandon their arrogant attitude.

Harper acts as if he is meeting the player for the first time. When questioned, he excuses himself by saying many warriors come to Port Lux and he simply does not pay attention to others. He quickly changes the subject and explains about Mission War—a battle fought in Tierra Gloriosa by those who support or join Capella and Procyon.

Harper believes that in chaotic times, exceptional strength is essential for survival. If something is lacking, he urges endless training. To prove their ability, Harper demands the player hunt Phantom Ferra.

The Black Hound is a monster skilled in stealth and ambush. It is far more dangerous than the Flame Hound, but because they look similar, newcomers often let their guard down. In fact, several warriors have died trying to hunt Black Hounds. Harper insists that a true warrior must be filled with the desire to hunt monsters and challenges the player to take it on.

He says Port Lux offers many challenges that seem foolish but are beautiful in their own way. One such challenge is hunting the Red Stone Golem. In the past, several warriors failed and died trying to subdue it. After the hunt, Harper admits he underestimated the player and adds that people like the player, who break norms and truths, are rare.

Pirates, who had been quiet for a while, landed on the shores of Port Lux. They were heavily armed with weapons looted from ships traveling across the continent, making them extremely dangerous. Moreover, Port Lux could not afford to engage in reckless battles with pirates. Harper calls the crew, except for the captain, small fry and asks the player to eliminate Dark Medic. After the hunt, Harper says the pirate crew must be in chaos now, so the authorities will handle the rest.

Harper, once proud of his abilities, is shocked when a minor wound does not heal quickly. He laments his aging and asks the player to gather ingredients for a healing salve from Pontus Ferrum. The items he requests are MA-04 Standard Fuel and MA-04 Emergency Fuel. However, when the player brings them, Harper sheepishly admits he already asked someone else and received them.

He asks the player to investigate a small rift that appeared in the sky. Harbor Manager Porter has been keeping an item that came out of the rift, but accidentally spills it on the player. Harper notices an alien energy emanating from the player and asks them to visit occasionally to report any changes in their body.

Hamprick wants to make a fan for the woman he loves. While touching a Periton feather, he smiles as he imagines the woman waving the fan.

Hamprick intended to give the feather fan to his first love before he died, but sadly, she had already passed away. Looking at the fan that never reached her, Hamprick is heartbroken. He decides to sell the fan to Dayton, an old friend. Dayton says the fan is even more precious because it came from Hamprick, but upon learning the truth, he bitterly jokes that perhaps friendship comes after love. Dayton advises the player not to neglect those around them, as friends may be more important than lovers.

Hamprick says that during times of war and chaos, resources are a far better currency than cash. After analyzing the flow of money, he predicts that war will soon break out in Nevareth. Hamprick shares what he heard from his trade network: Capella and Procyon are united for a purpose, but their ideologies are fundamentally opposed. Still, now is the time to sell resources. Hamprick plans to sell oil extracted from an abandoned tanker to both sides. When the player returns with the oil, Hamprick speculates that ancient civilizations might have lived more prosperous lives than people do now, even after a thousand years.

Normally, the golems of Port Lux were gentle and caused no trouble, but now they are rampaging, causing increasing damage to people. During a town meeting, someone mentioned a man named Black Bard, who might know how to solve the problem. Black Bard suggests that bringing him the Ghost Blader's Ring will resolve the issue. Shulansky promises to deliver the solution to the officer.

If left unresolved, operations will have to be suspended. Then Shulansky remembers the Bugshark+'s axe, which is powerful enough to cut through steel in one strike. When the player brings the axe, Shulansky breathes a sigh of relief, saying things could have been dangerous without their help, and promises to remember the favor.

For days, Shulansky has been troubled by a rat infestation in the grain warehouse. He decides to exterminate them all with poison. He asks the player to retrieve poison from a cart near a hut located on the path to the volcanic lava zone. Hale, who was thought to have quit gambling, had fallen back into it and was selling his valuable experimental specimens to fund his habit. Porter realizes Hale's financial situation is dire and suggests that if the player brings monsters used as high-grade specimens, Hale will provide the desired information. Unexpectedly, Hale insists on meeting the warrior who captured the monsters, but as Porter predicted, Hale reveals the location of the ASC Controller.

General Quests
When the cult began spreading to the Midreth continent, Carter was tormented by guilt, thinking it was his fault for not conducting thorough inspections. Learning this, Porter worries whether Carter is eating properly. Porter asks the player to deliver fresh seafood to Carter. While common by the sea, such food is rare in the jungle, and Porter hopes to cheer up his brother. Carter, upon receiving the seafood, says that even though they live far apart, the brothers still miss each other. He decides to share the seafood with the villagers.

Porter has a feather allergy and worries about rumors that he might be dispatched to Lakeside, where many feathered monsters live. Peticia teaches the player about dungeons scattered across Nevareth. She explains that dungeons are far more dangerous than towns and that countless warriors have died exploring them, both in the past and present. However, clearing a dungeon rewards players with points called DP, or Dungeon Points. Peticia exchanges items for the DP warriors earn. As thanks for listening to her story, she gives the player a cube and asks them to visit again later.
