He remarks that he never expected the player to take on a guard's duties. As a side note, he calls Najaba "old man."

General Quests
Redujin is extremely confident in his sense of style. He promises to share his secret if the player does him a favor. He asks for a hat from a Lycan Zombie+. Redujin has a hobby of collecting hats and is well-known for it. However, when the player brings the hat, Redujin gets angry, saying it's just a rag.

Redujin also provides information about the Tower of the Dead, an area where the dead roam as undead. He says he believes the player is one of Nevareth's top warriors and asks them to defeat Ice Baba Yaga on B1F of the Tower of the Dead.

General Quests
Strberry loves vine strawberries found in Forgotten Ruin. When Blade Peritons ruin the vine strawberries, he asks the player to punish them. According to Strberry, vine strawberries are like an oasis in the desert and are extremely rare even in Nevareth.

2. Background Story
Although just a guard, Ibenk possesses a calm and rational mind. He hopes Port Ruina will prosper like other cities rather than be dragged into war.

3. Role in In-Game Quests
Mechanical Monster Weapon
Ibenk says he already heard about Miles's missing brother. He expresses skepticism about the sages' war, saying that if it continues, everyone will lose their families or fall into danger. He insists that if the player is a savior, they must know something about Miles's Brother. Ibenk is furious that the sages care only about victory and ignore the wounded and the dead.

Skaild in Love
He denies the claim that Aizan/Elena was kidnapped, saying they are a close aide to the Sage and their identity must remain secret. He delivers Skaild's love letter on their behalf.

General Quests
Ibenk laments the desolation of Port Ruina and asks the player to retrieve detection sensors from AutoCannon-Op. These mechanical monsters make it difficult for guards to operate effectively. Once the sensors are brought back, Ibenk says the guards will finally have a chance to drive out all the AutoCannon-Ops.

3. Role in In-Game Quests
Skyld is in Love
He introduces himself as a responsible guard. However, he leaves the task of checking identification to Redujin. Aniak boasts that he has never been careless. He says he heard from Aibenk that Aizan/Elena was kidnapped by the Sage.

General Quests
Aniak suddenly catches a severe cold, making it hard for him to move. Because he cannot work, his assigned area is in chaos. He asks you to defeat Mecha Apes and Mecha Ape Archers in his stead.

However, his cold does not go away easily. Facing the risk of being fired, Aniak asks you to defeat the Mechcommander in his jurisdiction. While grateful, he remarks that someone who cannot even take care of themselves should not be a guard.

Aniak gets into trouble after bragging that he heard Ainston defeated a Zombie Slayer in the Undead Ground. Feeling humiliated, he claims he can defeat a Zombie Prime Knight, only to find himself in a situation where he must prove it. If he fails, he risks being labeled as a cowardly braggart. If you defeat it for him, Aniak will beg you never to tell Ainston about this incident.

3. Role in In-Game Quests
General Quests
The area around Port Luina is dominated by mechanical monsters. Openg suffers from headaches due to the sharp metallic noises made by mechanical birds. He asks you to eliminate Electric Birds. Afterward, he says the noise pollution is finally gone and that his stress will decrease, as he has been suffering from it since being stationed here.

Openg thinks he is too fragile for the harsh duties of a guard. The noise from mechanical monsters and the electricity flowing through their bodies make it hard for him to focus on his work. He asks you to defeat Mechazard. When you return after defeating it, Openg admits he has already been labeled as overly nervous and says he needs psychiatric treatment soon to avoid being dismissed from his position.

Port Luina Guard Ainston

1. Overview

Ainston
Title
Gender Male
Race Human
Affiliation Port Luina Guard
Occupation Guard
Location Port Luina
Age
Personality
포트루이나 가드.png

2. Background Story
Ainston suffers from a serious illness caused by long-term exposure to heavy metals. Fortunately, the symptoms were detected early, so his condition has stabilized, but he remains cautious about a relapse.

3. Role in In-Game Quests
General Quests
He provides information about the location of Luina Station. Originally, the area around Port Luina was either unexplored or unsuitable for habitation, so access was restricted. However, traces of a railway were discovered near Port Luina one day. These were remnants from the Honorable Age era. Investigations revealed that Port Luina was originally an old train station. It was Luina Station No.1003, and there are similar places elsewhere. Luina Station, which looks just like Port Luina Village, was eventually overrun by powerful monsters, halting research. Ainston says that few warriors are skilled enough to explore Luina Station, so even the Tower of the Sage does not strictly prevent people from going there with a Muster Card. He informs you that Muster Cards needed for entry can be found in Port Luina and the Undead Ground.

When you bring him a Muster Card, Ainston praises you as a strong warrior unafraid of areas filled with mechanical monsters. Luina Station is a place ordinary people like Ainston would never dare approach. He mentions that an official notice from the Tower of the Sage promises generous rewards for defeating the Invader Excavator R-2 at Luina Station. Ainston also reveals that there is a passage to Luina Station in the area where Mecha Apes appear.

Ainston often imagines himself adventuring in the Undead Ground. One day, he obtains a warp code for Undead Ground. While discussing this with fellow guards, he ends up in a prideful argument, boasting that he can defeat a Zombie Slayer there. Lacking confidence, he asks you to defeat the Zombie Slayer for him. When you return victorious, he thanks you, relieved that he avoided being mocked as a coward or a braggart. Finally, he asks you not to tell anyone about this incident.

Blacksmith Part-Timer Hide

Hide
Title Part-Timer
Gender Male
Race Human
Affiliation Port Luina Blacksmith
Occupation Blacksmith
Location Port Luina
Age 30
Personality Stutters when speaking but has big dreams
대장간 알바 히데.png

2. Background Story
Hide works at the blacksmith shop whenever Najaba is away. He dreams of becoming a full-time employee someday rather than just a part-timer. He is self-conscious about his stutter and his hairy body.

3. Role in In-Game Quests
The True Nature of Prometheus
While destroying cult hideouts, you discover a suspicious broken warp circuit in the third hideout. Sally tells you to visit the blacksmith to repair it. Meeting you instead of Najaba, Hide promises to deliver it to the blacksmith.

In Search of the Land of Death
Because the blacksmith was away for too long, Hide tried to repair the broken warp circuit himself but failed. As a result, the warp circuit became irreparably damaged, and Hide apologizes. However, this action led to an unexpected discovery: a string labeled "ASC" inside the warp circuit. Najaba speculates that ASC contains some kind of condensed powerful energy, though its exact nature is unknown.

General Quests
Hide wants to create an AI-powered steel machine using a mechanical monster's neural plate, but he cannot obtain the necessary parts. To build the machine he envisions, he needs the neural plate from an Auto-Cannon Ex+. If you bring him the part, Hide vows never to forget your kindness.

Hide says that strange signs have recently appeared, creating a tense atmosphere in Port Luina. Shockingly, a runaway locomotive has been spotted moving without a driver. Multiple witnesses have seen the empty engine room, and the train is approaching the village. If it crashes into the village, the damage will be catastrophic. Hide says the train has been sighted in an old underground station, a ruin located a short distance from Port Luina. To enter, you need a special ticket. Hide hands you a broken train card and asks you to stop the train.

When Solme teases him, saying he might be hairier than a Dark Minotaur, Hide asks you to capture one for comparison. Later, he complains that his beard has grown too much and asks you to gather parts to make a shaver, as ordinary razors cannot handle his thick hair. If you obtain parts from MA-03 Armun Rutil and MA-05 Armun Felida, Hide is delighted, saying he now has a way to make a shaver.

He mentions the recently discovered ruins of Pontus Ferrum and explains how to enter. During the search for the Sage's scattered legacies, the Capella Federation and Procyon Alliance restored records from the Honorable Age and found this site. Both nations agreed to jointly investigate the unfamiliar region and dispatched elite units to Pontus Ferrum under the treaty. Hide says the place is full of unknown mechanical monsters and is rarely mentioned even in Honorable Age records. Completed before the human era, it completely rejects humanity. Initially, it was famous as a sea of cold metal, and people gave code names to the mechanical monsters found there in the order of discovery. Hide asks you, according to the allied nations' directive, to retrieve a Cave Circuit from ARM-03 Interfector and insert it into an electronic reader. The Cave Circuit is an essential component for studying the monsters of Pontus Ferrum.

Najaba's blacksmith shop is struggling financially. Since business is slow, Hide says he is even making kitchen tools and asks you to procure parts for a mixer from UMD-02 Cornus. He dreams that once he makes the mixer, he might finally become a full-time employee.

Magic Merchant Soyoung

1. Overview

Soyoung
Title
Gender Female
Race Human
Affiliation Port Luina
Occupation Magic Merchant
Location Port Luina
Age 25
Personality Timid but hardworking
마법상인소영.png

2. Background Story
People in Port Luina often seek out Soyoung when they are sick because of her extensive knowledge of medicine. Although she doesn’t share details, it is suspected that she was once part of the Guild or Academy, or something related. In truth, Soyoung was from the Tower of the Sage, but after making a grave mistake, she was expelled. She came to Port Luina to regain her qualification as a Core Alchemist.

3. Role in In-Game Quests
Mission of the King Slayer
First mentioned by Mystic Blade, who recommends her as someone with unparalleled knowledge of medicine across Nevarreth. Soyoung cannot identify the drug’s nature but says Hale, despite his gambling addiction and bad temper, is not a bad person at heart, so it should be safe to take it.

Eradicating the Source of the Great Catastrophe
When you visit her after speaking with Solme, she says Mystic Blade has already been there and asks you to deliver a medicine bottle to him. She notes that he looks like he might collapse at any moment and suggests he take the medicine immediately.

Prelude to True Battle
After Ridi’s death, she calls you over and gives you a bottle, saying Ridi left it before dying and asked for it to be delivered. Soyoung says it feels like this has happened before and admits she doesn’t know what’s inside the bottle, asking what you plan to do.

General Quests
Long ago, the Tower of the Sage conducted absurd experiments to determine the cause of monster aggression, which ended in disaster—similar to the foolish experiments once conducted by Officer Henkov in Bloody Ice. The fact that you helped Henkov is already widely known across Nevarreth.

Soyoung says that even in Port Luina, extremely violent monsters appear. Normally, Hound S-01 is not aggressive, but it sometimes attacks people, which is how Solme got injured. The Tower of the Sage should have been the one to investigate monster aggression, but its credibility collapsed after past mistakes. So, Port Luina is trying to figure it out on its own. Soyoung asks you to bring her a Hound S-01 fang as a material.

She worries that Port Luina residents have become weaker and more vulnerable to stress. Soyoung explains that this is because artificial chemicals from Mecha Apes have leaked. Mecha Apes are monsters born from ancient civilization technology. In their biological structure, all chemicals are regulated by neural circuits, similar to the human pituitary gland. Soyoung wants to analyze these neural circuits to solve the mystery.

Recently, it was discovered that artificial chemicals contained in Metal Clan monsters have started leaking. Any life form exposed to them dies instantly. Since the substance floats like gas, there’s no way to stop it once it spreads. Soyoung says if the substance doesn’t leak, that’s fortunate, but if it does, avoid it at all costs. She plans to make protective clothing from Electric Bird’s metallic hide to prevent the substance or air from entering the body. She urges you not to reveal this to the outside world to avoid throwing Nevarreth into chaos.

Soyoung says she can no longer stand the chaos—monsters rampaging, strange signs everywhere, and people constantly talking about war. Even those who usually avoid involvement are fed up. Things have worsened since the discovery of the Undead Ground. Soyoung believes that cleansing the energy emanating from there might prevent a great catastrophe or war. She asks you to drive stakes into points that emit negative energy in the Undead Ground.

She is very interested in monsters. She asks you to capture an Obedient to dissect it and determine whether its tail is actually its head.

Soyoung suddenly asks if you are satisfied with your job. This is because she lost confidence after comparing herself to other magic merchants. Although she trains in her own way, she admits she cannot match others like Yert. Soyoung resolves to make the most of her strengths, noting that monsters also use their strengths in battle. The most famous example is Zealu, who summons minions and moves unpredictably to confuse warriors. Soyoung wants to confirm Zealu’s ability to move freely and summon minions, so she asks you to defeat it. After you do, she becomes interested in you for being stronger than the monster.

Weapon Merchant Najaba

1. Overview

Najaba
Title
Gender Male
Race Human
Affiliation Port Luina
Occupation Weapon Merchant
Location Port Luina
Age 70
Personality Gruff and reclusive
무기상인 나자바.png

2. Background Story
In the past, Najaba suffered a horrific accident that cost him his left arm and left eye. Since then, he has drowned himself in alcohol to forget the terrible memory, which is why he often leaves the blacksmith unattended. However, even such an accident could not strip him of his original skills. Najaba remains a skilled blacksmith with keen insight.

3. Role in In-Game Quests
Research Discovery
He suddenly asks if you’ve been to Forgotten Ruin and what you picked up there, saying the village children are upset and telling you to go see Solme.

Skyld is in Love
He interrupts a conversation with Redujin, saying he made a bet with Solme on whether it’s possible to defeat the Incubus of Porta Inferno. He asks you to handle it for him. After you do, Najaba jokingly asks if you’ve become a new guard, confusing Redujin.

General Quests
Najaba once had all his limbs intact, but after the accident, he now has a prosthetic eye and mechanical arm, which makes him feel somewhat inferior. He dislikes people staring at him, so when your eyes meet, he immediately demands you bring him a book on human biomechanics. After reading it, he praises it as well-organized and then curtly tells you to leave.

Najaba warns that life in Port Luina is not easy and orders you to bring him a Mecha Buffalo horn. Mecha Buffalo is a mechanically modified bison, far more dangerous than ordinary monsters. Najaba plans to study its power source. When you bring the horn, he explains that most mechanical monsters are artificial constructs from ancient civilizations, equipped with core devices that supply energy. Among them, Mecha Buffalo has a power device attached to its horn. Thanks to you, Najaba’s research on power sources becomes easier, and he laughs heartily.

Armor Merchant Ryeong

1. Overview

Ryeong
Title
Gender Female
Race Human
Affiliation Port Luina
Occupation Armor Merchant
Location Port Luina
Age 26
Personality Mature
방어구상인 령.png

2. Background Story
Port Luina is not a place open to the public. How Ryeong ended up there remains unknown. Even the locals, who are used to not asking about others’ backgrounds, know little about her past. However, her craftsmanship is undeniable, and since Port Luina became more open, she has gradually started interacting with the outside world. Ryeong also has a refined hobby of collecting dolls.

3. Role in In-Game Quests
General Quests
Ryeong has loved playing with dolls since childhood, and even now, she collects various dolls. She asks you to bring her a Mechcommander’s doll. She explains that Mechcommander carries a doll resembling itself and treats it as its life and alter ego, which is why she couldn’t get it herself. When you bring the doll, Ryeong smiles with joy.

Ryeong says people suspect that the strange phenomena occurring across the Nevarreth continent may be linked to the Undead Ground and fear that its monsters might invade the continent. Experts and research committees have been summoned to prepare countermeasures. At a meeting, Hale explained that the power from the Undead Ground comes from zombies, which are neither living nor dead, and that analyzing a zombie’s heart is key to finding a solution. However, zombie slayer hearts have become expensive experimental materials, making them hard to obtain. Ryeong asks you to bring her a zombie slayer’s heart.

Due to financial struggles, she admits to smuggling Sand Lyhon backbones as a side job and shamelessly responds when you confront her.

When Simon’s pride sparked a tour of armor craftsmen across Nevarreth, Ryeong handled it maturely, saying they help each other while competing, unlike others.

General Merchant Sally

1. Overview

Sally
Title
Gender Female
Race Human
Affiliation Port Luina
Occupation General Merchant
Location Port Luina
Age 22
Personality Strong-willed
잡화상인 샐리.png

2. Background Story
Originally from Desert Scream, Sally wandered into Port Luina while searching for her missing brother, who disappeared with a dark wizard in the desert. Determined to find him, she even considered becoming a traveling merchant for the first time in her life. She is strong-minded and compassionate, always willing to help others. Ironically, unlike most, Sally found freedom from misfortune after arriving in Port Luina.

3. Role in In-Game Quests
The True Nature of Prometheus
She approaches you, saying you seem new to Port Luina, and explains that the locals are wary of outsiders due to the dangerous environment. She tells you about the connection between the Metal Clan settlement and the dark wizard and asks you to look for her brother. When you rescue him, she thanks you. Later, she asks you to deliver bread to Solme, a village child she cared for like a younger brother. Thanks to this, you gain the trust of Port Luina’s people. When she learns that the people staying in the abandoned house are your allies, she shares information about the cult. The dark wizard her brother followed was actually the cult leader. Her brother remembers the locations of all the cult hideouts scattered across Port Luina. She gives you bombs to destroy the hideouts. While doing so, you find a suspicious broken warp circuit in the third hideout. Sally tells you to visit Hide at the blacksmith to repair it.

General Quests
As everyone knows, Port Luina has long been isolated from the outside world. Residents had to survive using homemade remedies. The problem is that violent mechanical monsters make it hard to gather supplies. Sally asks you to retrieve experimental reagents from a medicine cabinet in the Electric Bird habitat.

She worries because her brother, once involved with the cult, still hasn’t regained his strength. She heard that feeding him Bloody Lyhon Zombie blood could help, but as a mere merchant, she couldn’t obtain it. Apologizing for the difficult request, she asks you to get the blood. When you bring it, she begins purification work.

Sally asks if you’ve seen a secret report from the Procyon Alliance. The report concerns a tower in the center of Pontus Ferrum, which Procyon believes is an outpost built by the Metal Clan to invade Nevarreth. Sally says the facility is called Machinas Outpost and that both the Capella Federation and Procyon Alliance are after its core technology. They announced the exploration publicly and promised huge rewards to warriors who retrieve Metal Clan technology. Sally encourages you to take on the challenge and gives you a hacked code disk for entry.

Occupation Warehouse Keeper
Location Port Luina
Age 35
Personality Knows how to keep secrets
창고가드 크라우퍼.png

2. Background Story
Port Luina was never meant to be a public place. People there either arrived by chance or with a specific purpose. Crowfer was the latter.

When Nevarreth Port Express received a dispatch request from the Tower of the Sage, the higher-ups had to carefully choose who to send. They chose Crowfer, believing he was discreet and trustworthy enough to keep Port Luina’s existence a secret.

It was a difficult assignment, but Crowfer has fulfilled his duties as expected.

3. Role in In-Game Quests
General Quests
While planning how to guard the warehouse, Crowfer became interested in Mecha Ape Archer+, known for its strength to hurl boulders. He plans to capture these mechanical monsters and use them as warehouse guards. When you bring them, Crowfer is very pleased, saying they may be rough but can be trained properly.

Crowfer says he’s been overwhelmed lately due to the war, as more people want to store their valuables. The problem is that Port Luina lacks enough vaults for everyone. People are also seeking stronger safes to prevent theft. Crowfer plans to build personal vaults using ancient electronic circuits from Metal Clan monsters. He is satisfied with the materials you provide and jokes that he’ll waive your storage fees if you ever bring valuables to him.

Age 10
Personality Lively
마을아이 솔메.png

2. Background Story
After losing his parents and getting injured, Solme drifted into Port Luina. Life is hard for orphans everywhere, but Solme lives bravely on his own. As a side note, he has a crush on General Merchant Sally.

3. Role in In-Game Quests
The True Nature of Prometheus
When you bring him bread, he’s surprised it’s not Sally. He says Sally often cried over her missing brother and saw him as a reminder of him. He tells you that outsiders who recently entered Port Luina are staying in an abandoned house outside the village and remarks that it’s strange they can survive in a place swarming with Metal Clan monsters, as if they’re searching for someone. If you go to the abandoned house, you’ll meet your allies. After destroying the cult hideouts, Solme tells you your allies are urgently looking for you and to return to the abandoned house.

Eradicating the Source of the Great Catastrophe
Seeing you look tired, he suggests visiting Magic Merchant Soyoung for a recovery potion, saying his hero can’t afford to be sick with a real war coming.

Research Discovery
Solme protests that you’ve interfered with the livelihood of the village children by taking things from Forgotten Ruin and asks you to stop. He then apologizes for sounding rude.

General Quests
Solme suffers from nightmares. In his childhood, he encountered Hound S-01, which cost him both arms and his left eye, forcing him to wear prosthetic limbs and an artificial eye. He asks you to avenge him. After you return from the hunt, Solme says thanks to you, he has overcome his trauma and can now leave the village.

He informs you that someone named Teski has opened a new laboratory south of the Colony.

Solme discovers that Puatus, the leader of the Mecha Buffalo army, holds secrets of ancient mechanical civilization and tells you about it. Many have tried to uncover the secret by hunting Puatus, but none succeeded. Solme urges you to try. You nod and face Puatus in a fierce battle before returning victorious. Solme praises you for defeating Puatus and declares he wants to become a warrior as great as you.

The noise from mechanical birds is deafening in Port Luina. Solme, having replaced parts of his body with machinery, is fine, but for ordinary residents, the sound from Electric Birds is torture. Solme says the only way to silence them is to defeat their leader, Alasha. After you do, he explains that Alasha was the leader and energy source of the Electric Bird army, and thanks to Najaba for sharing this fact, noting that staying close to him reveals many secrets.

While others mock Openg as a narcissistic, lazy guard, Solme likes him. He shares something he heard from Najaba: eliminating Mechaz will cut off the power supply to Mechazard. Openg is known as someone too sensitive to guard his area, but Solme asks you to help him by defeating Mechaz, as Openg once showed kindness to the orphaned Solme. He also asks you to stay close to Openg.

Solme believes a hero will one day defeat Excavator-Alpha, though his friends don’t believe him. Excavator-Alpha is a massive, powerful monster, and people think no one can defeat it. But Solme, who sees you as a hero, firmly believes you can. To fulfill his wish, you accept and defeat Excavator-Alpha. Solme rejoices, saying you proved him right and can’t wait to brag to those who doubted him.

He secretly falls for Sally but gets rejected for being too young. To prove himself a real man, he plans to hunt an Iron Gargoyle at Lakeside but lacks confidence, so he asks for your help.

Like any child, Solme is mischievous and teases Hide for being hairy, prompting Hide to look for ways to remove it.

While playing robot games with other kids using Metal Clan monster parts, Solme feels something is missing. After hearing that Pontus Ferrum is full of Metal Clan machines, he asks you to bring parts. In Port Luina, kids play with dead Metal Clan monsters instead of toys. Solme specifically requests parts from UMD-01 Brachium, and when you bring them, he’s thrilled to have something fun to play with for a while.
