2. Background Story
Faitrun lost his parents in a tragic accident and became an orphan, leaving his hometown behind. But in a world overrun by monsters, traveling alone as a young boy was no easy task.

He survived several dangers by distracting monsters for a short time, but this method had its limits. One day, Faitrun nearly died in a perilous situation—until Silverwood appeared and saved him. Since then, the two have traveled together, exploring ancient ruins.

He carries a dagger and has learned to read ancient scripts from Silverwood. Aside from wandering the world, Faitrun is like any ordinary child.

3. Role in In-Game Quests
Prologue
Discovered by Freed in Ruins Research Zone 2. At first, he appears shy and introduces himself as someone traveling in search of ancient ruins. Freed praises his knowledge of ancient civilizations and his skills. Afterward, they begin working together.

The King Has Vanished
As soon as it’s revealed that Faitrun is the Star of the King, news arrives that Silverwood has abducted him from Freed. Yuan suggests splitting up to investigate monster clans that haven’t been attacked yet and orders you to check the Plant Clan northwest of Green Despair. Faitrun is indeed there. You fight Silverwood and rescue Faitrun. Grateful, he admits he was forced into terrible deeds by Silverwood and thanks you for stopping him. During the abduction, Silverwood planned to kill clan masters and collect all Core Fragments, forcing Faitrun to follow him. Along the way, Silverwood also killed members of the Sword of Guardians, leaving Faitrun guilt-ridden for failing to stop him.

Buried in Sorrow
While resting with Arionel, their lodging is attacked by Silverwood. Faitrun loses control, unleashing immense power, and disappears. During the chaos, Ike is killed.

Origin of the Demon King
Following Beradrix’s words, you find Faitrun near the Phantasmal Clan lair close to Port Luina. Recognizing you, Faitrun laments that he has changed horribly and has little time left. Feeling the limits of controlling his power, he curses his fate and hands you his dagger, begging you to end him with it if he loses himself and goes berserk, before vanishing.

Mission of the King Slayer
Faitrun steals one Core Fragment from the Phantasmal Clan, bringing his total to two. Overcome with despair, he seeks Beradrix and Arionel to seal himself away. But before the seal can be completed, Silverwood attacks to steal the fragments. Beradrix sacrifices himself to save Faitrun, who disappears once again. Later, Faitrun is seen at the end of the Path of Death. Arionel says he is barely holding on despite his berserk state. To communicate, Arionel touches Faitrun’s heart with the dagger he gave her, connecting with his will. Faitrun, wracked with pain from his awakened state, realizes the mission left to him by Saint Valentine—to destroy the Absolute Soul Core and the hidden ASC Controller. Arionel regrets being unable to help him.

Eradicating the Source of the Great Catastrophe
You meet Faitrun again at the Eternal Altar. Now in the final stage of awakening, he is barely suppressing the Demon King within. Faitrun asks you and Arionel not to grieve over fate and urges Arionel, as the King’s Companion, to fulfill her second duty: the seal. Arionel complies, sealing Faitrun away into a dimensional rift. The aftermath of his awakening ushers the continent into a new era.

However, Silverwood is actually a member of a secret organization with a hidden mission: to steal the power of the Demon King. His companionship with Faitrun was part of this plan.

Prologue
Discovered by Freed in Ruins Research Zone 2. From the start, he appears shady, evaluating you critically. Freed praises his knowledge of ancient ruins and his skills. He later begins working with the team.

The King Has Vanished

Yuan suggests splitting up to investigate monster clans that haven’t been attacked yet and orders you to check the Plant Clan northwest of Green Despair. Faitrun is indeed there. While you meet Sirius and Nine, Silverwood attacks the lodging. Provoked, Faitrun loses control, unleashing immense power, and disappears.

The True Nature of Prometheus
Fails to escape after the attack and is captured by the Guardian Knights. He remains silent during interrogation, frustrating the team.

Origin of the Demon King
Despite interrogation, Silverwood refuses to reveal Faitrun’s whereabouts. Yuan mentions an ancient technique: the Sap of Truth, which stimulates brain nerves to force truthful speech. He asks you to retrieve it. Mystic Blade, shocked by its appearance, asks you to use it since he is blind. Under its effect, Silverwood reveals everything: the Demon King has awakened, destruction has begun, and the ASC Controller will soon be destroyed. He also reveals that Demon King = Faust = Saint Valentine, and that Faust created and sealed the ASC Controller. Afterward, Silverwood escapes using power gained from the sap’s side effects.

Mission of the King Slayer
Faitrun steals one Core Fragment from the Phantasmal Clan, bringing his total to two. Overcome with despair, he seeks Beradrix and Arionel to seal himself away. Silverwood attacks to steal Faitrun’s power but fails when Beradrix sacrifices himself to save Faitrun, who disappears again. Later, Faitrun awakens as the Demon King but is sealed by Arionel and the Sword of Guardians, leaving Silverwood’s mission in ruins. With Mystic Blade still hunting him, Silverwood’s future looks grim.

Freed
Title Guardian Knight of Light, Successor to the King
Gender Male
Race Human
Affiliation Ruins Research Team > Sword of Guardians
Occupation Treasure Hunter
Location Variable
Age 18
Personality Cheerful and confident
프리드.png

2. Background Story
One of the most talented treasure hunters, especially skilled at understanding terrain. Freed dreamed of exploring unknown lands beyond the outer seas and joined the Treasure Hunter Guild for training. His original goal had little to do with ruin research, but his sociability and spatial intelligence made him a valued member. He even achieved notable successes.

Freed joined the Ruins Research Team thanks to his connection with Bane, the team leader and a friend of his father. Impressed by Freed’s talent, Bane persuaded him to join the team. Freed now spends his days digging through ancient ruins, unaware of the fate awaiting him.

3. Role in In-Game Quests
Prologue
Appears as a member of the Ruins Research Team. While scouting Zone 2, he meets Faitrun and Silverwood. Freed praises their knowledge and skills, recommending them as team members. During the exploration, Freed discovers an important relic, but even with combined effort, the three cannot move it. Exhausted, Freed asks you to retrieve it and returns to camp, later getting scolded for leaving you behind. When he learns the relic is a glowing card, he plans to report it to Aldebaran. It is later revealed to be a sealed Apocalypse Card.

The King’s Companion and Guardian Knights
The Memorial Core you collect reveals the faces of Beradrix, Yuan, Lin, and Freed—they are the Guardian Knights of Light. Freed is shocked to learn he is destined to succeed the King. Later, he joins you in unlocking the seal in an underground bunker east of Bloody Ice to retrieve the third Apocalypse Card.

The King Has Vanished
Freed blames himself for not pursuing Silverwood when Faitrun was abducted. Later, while you are away, Freed, Lin, and Yuan secretly infiltrate Port Lux to investigate cultists. They capture a Dark Clan member but fail to make him talk, so Freed asks you to interrogate him. The prisoner admits they exploited the cult’s revival and allied with Prometheus, though not under its command. He reveals that the Absolute Soul Core fragments react to each other and that the Dark Clan seeks to expand its power amid the coming chaos. He also discloses that Prometheus is searching for an object capable of controlling not only the Demon King but also the Absolute Soul Core.[1] Freed shares this information with the team.

Buried in Sorrow
After Silverwood’s attack results in Ike’s death and Faitrun’s disappearance, Freed feels guilty for failing to stop him and wonders how Silverwood found their hideout.

The True Nature of Prometheus
At the abandoned house in Port Luina, the team splits into three groups. Mystic Blade, Yuan, and Arionel pursue Silverwood and Faitrun; Freed and Lin search for the ASC Controller; you and Nine infiltrate Prometheus’s base. When Nine is revealed as a traitor, Freed is absent from the meeting because he is still searching for the ASC Controller.

In Search of the Land of Death
When you meet Freed at Sirius’s request, he greets you warmly but admits the search is difficult. The ASC Controller’s existence is known only to high-ranking officials of the Tower of the Sage, making it nearly impossible to find. Freed asked harbor managers to help locate someone who knows about it, and his efforts pay off—Porter finds Hale, who reveals its location. Freed then moves with the team to the Undead Ground.

Mission of the King Slayer
Meets at the entrance of the House of the Dead. He went ahead to find researcher Teski on Sirius’s orders but had to wait for you. After handing you the Apocalypse Card, he returns to Sirius. Later, uneasy about leaving only Arionel and Beradrix at the House of the Dead, he urges you to check on them. His fears prove true: by the time Freed returns with Sirius, Silverwood has attacked, Beradrix has sacrificed himself to save Faitrun, and Faitrun has vanished again.

Eradicating the Source of the Great Catastrophe
While searching for the ASC Controller, Freed learns its location from a bug planted in Prometheus’s base—it’s in the Tower of the Dead. Lin and Sirius depart first, while Freed stays behind to relay the message. He plans to go with Mystic Blade but arrives too late. When Sirius dies, Freed laments the delay and feels lost about whom to trust. Mystic Blade apologizes, saying things might have been different if he had reached Freed sooner. They resolve to prepare for the Demon King’s seal—and for failure. After Faitrun is sealed, Freed recalls Sirius’s words: “Whenever you see the Apocalypse Card, remember the Sword of Guardians.” He vows to find the surviving members.

유안.png

2. Background Story
Beradrix described Yuan as blunt, but she is actually humble. Among Bladers, Yuan is already a living legend, though she rarely flaunts it. Beyond her dual-wielding style, little is known about her. She always maintains composure, leads decisively, and possesses knowledge of the Demon King, Prometheus, and ancient secrets unknown to others.

3. Role in In-Game Quests
Prologue
Appears as Beradrix’s escort in the Ruins Research Team. Yuan casually drops formalities with you, saying you’re impressive for a rookie. She later supports the team’s activities.

The King’s Companion and Guardian Knights
The Memorial Core reveals the faces of Beradrix, Yuan, Lin, and Freed—they are the Guardian Knights of Light. Yuan is shocked to learn she can rival the King. Later, she joins you in unlocking the seal in an underground bunker east of Bloody Ice to retrieve the third Apocalypse Card.

The King Has Vanished
When Nine is poisoned by vampire venom, Yuan retrieves one of the three antidotes from the Plant Clan. After learning of Faitrun’s abduction, she calms the shaken team and plans a rescue. Yuan predicts Silverwood will keep Faitrun close while hunting clan masters for Absolute Soul Core fragments. She suggests splitting up to investigate untouched clans and sends you to the Plant Clan northwest of Green Despair, where you indeed find Faitrun and Silverwood. While you’re away, Yuan, Lin, and Freed infiltrate Port Lux to investigate cultists. They capture a Dark Clan member but fail to make him talk, so Freed asks you to interrogate him. The prisoner admits they allied with Prometheus but denies being under its command. He reveals that Absolute Soul Core fragments resonate with each other and that the Dark Clan seeks to exploit the chaos. He also discloses that Prometheus is searching for an object capable of controlling both the Demon King and the Absolute Soul Core.[1]

Buried in Sorrow
While the team reels from Ike’s death and Faitrun’s disappearance, Yuan worries about Arionel’s guilt and remains focused on preventing Prometheus from capturing Faitrun. She deduces Prometheus’s true goal after learning about the ASC Controller from you and rushes to inform Beradrix. After Aldebaran’s funeral, Yuan tells you that Beradrix has recruited Mystic Blade to track Prometheus, noting that he’s gruff but trustworthy. With Sirius attacked, Aldebaran and Ike dead, and Faitrun missing, Yuan decides to regroup at Port Luina and asks you to inform Beradrix and Sirius.

The True Nature of Prometheus
Meets you again at the abandoned house in Port Luina, explaining she couldn’t enter the village due to local suspicion. Yuan deduces from Metal Clan movements that the map likely marks Prometheus’s base. The team splits into three groups: Mystic Blade, Yuan, and Arionel pursue Silverwood and Faitrun; Freed and Lin search for the ASC Controller; you and Nine infiltrate Prometheus’s base. After Nine’s betrayal, Yuan reports capturing Silverwood but finding no trace of Faitrun. She says Mystic Blade is interrogating him.

Origin of the Demon King
Interrogation yields nothing, so Yuan proposes using an ancient technique: the Sap of Truth, which forces truthful speech by stimulating brain nerves. After using it, Silverwood reveals everything: the Demon King has awakened, destruction has begun, and the ASC Controller will soon be destroyed. He also reveals that the Demon King, Faust, and Saint Valentine are the same person and that Faust created and sealed the ASC Controller.

In Search of the Land of Death
Yuan suspects Prometheus may already know the ASC Controller’s location after a broken warp circuit is found in a cult hideout and suggests discussing it with Sirius.

Mission of the King Slayer
The team moves to the Undead Ground to search for the ASC Controller. Sirius warns that Faitrun seems to have awakened as the Demon King and is rampaging, so they must prepare a last resort. Sirius reveals the second mission of the Six Stars: each Guardian Knight was born with two missions, and the two who can oppose the King and break his power are Arionel and Yuan. Yuan’s second mission is Regicide, while Arionel’s is Sealing. If Faitrun does not seal himself, the Stars of Light must carry out their second missions. When Arionel hears about the seal, she sympathizes with Faitrun, while Yuan quickly accepts her mission. She fears that if she fails, all of Nevarreth will become a living hell, so she sets out to find the Regicide weapon—though she hopes never to use it.
Meanwhile, the team splits up: Lin and Freed search for the ASC Controller, Mystic Blade pursues Silverwood, and Beradrix and Arionel prepare for Faitrun’s sealing. While Yuan searches for the Regicide weapon, Beradrix is killed. Arionel asks you to gather everyone so they can hold a brief funeral. When Yuan hears the news, she cannot believe Beradrix is dead and fears the moment will come when she must use the Regicide weapon.
Enraged by Beradrix’s death, Yuan grabs one half of the Regicide weapon and rushes to confront the Demon King. After receiving a message from Cox, you hurry to find Yuan on the brink of being killed by Faitrun. Yuan urges you to leave her behind, saying she cannot handle the awakened Demon King, but you rescue her in time.
After being saved, Yuan apologizes for acting recklessly out of anger. She admits she couldn’t bear to watch her comrades die, even knowing she couldn’t defeat the Demon King.[2]

Eradicating the Source of the Great Catastrophe
After Sirius’s death, the team regroups at the House of the Dead. Even Yuan, usually calm and rational, is deeply shaken and blames herself for acting recklessly. She believes Sirius would still be alive if not for her. Yuan resolves to sacrifice her life if necessary to prevent Nevarreth’s destruction, even if the Demon King’s seal fails.
Once Faitrun is sealed, Yuan vows to help Arionel grow strong enough to protect herself in the future.

  2. There remains some question about how Yuan located Faitrun.

Affiliation Thieves’ Guild > Sword of Guardians
Occupation Thieves’ Guild Master
Location Variable
Age 32
Personality Loyal and hot-tempered
린.png

2. Background Story
Lin was born into a merchant family, but before she could inherit the family business, it collapsed due to financial troubles and conflicts with rival merchants.

Left alone in the world, Lin joined the Thieves’ Guild to survive. This hardened her personality, but she retained the ability to blend with others—a trait inherited from her merchant roots. At the same time, the downfall of her family taught her the importance of power.

These two traits combined to make Lin both fierce in action and deeply loyal to those around her. Her skills soon earned her recognition, and she rose to become the guild’s leader. However, Lin was more of a Robin Hood figure than a ruthless thief, which inspired loyalty among some but provoked resistance from the old guard.

Kashu, a rival within the guild, hired mercenaries to stage a coup and assassinate Lin. Though injured, Lin escaped thanks to loyal subordinates. She vowed revenge on Kashu and was grateful to her former lover, Bane, for helping her survive.

3. Role in In-Game Quests
Prologue
First appears in “Bane’s First Love.” At the time, nations were troubled by a wave of Thieves’ Guild raids on merchant caravans. Sensing something unusual, Bane asks you to investigate. The guild master turns out to be Lin, someone Bane knows well.
When you visit the guild’s warehouse, you find Lin wounded from Kashu’s betrayal. She thanks you for Bane’s concern but denies ordering any dishonorable acts. Lin vows revenge on Kashu before collapsing, and you carry her to the research camp.

The King’s Companion and Guardian Knights
The Memorial Core you collect reveals the faces of Beradrix, Yuan, Lin, and Freed—they are the Guardian Knights of Light. When you inform her, Lin thanks you for saving her life earlier and is shocked to learn she is the King’s Shadow among the Guardian Knights. Later, she joins you in unlocking the seal in an underground bunker east of Bloody Ice to retrieve the third Apocalypse Card.

The King Has Vanished
When Nine is poisoned by vampire venom, Lin retrieves one of the three antidotes from the Undead Clan. After learning of Faitrun’s abduction, she angrily criticizes Silverwood for always seeming suspicious and urges immediate action. While you are away, Lin, Freed, and Yuan infiltrate Port Lux to investigate cultists.

After Ike is killed in Silverwood’s attack, Lin vows to make Silverwood pay with her life. Unable to find Silverwood or Faitrun, she supports the plan to strike Prometheus’s base in Port Luina, trusting the map and Nine’s intel.

The True Nature of Prometheus
At the abandoned house in Port Luina, the team splits into three groups: Mystic Blade, Yuan, and Arionel pursue Silverwood and Faitrun; Freed and Lin search for the ASC Controller; you and Nine infiltrate Prometheus’s base. After Nine’s betrayal, Lin expresses horror at being manipulated by Prometheus but notes that its risky plan has also failed. She reports that Freed is still searching for the ASC Controller. Later, Lin discovers that high-ranking officials in the Wizard Guild have been replaced and suspects Prometheus has infiltrated the guild under disguise. She learns that one official is colluding with the Metal Clan and asks you to stop them.

Origin of the Demon King
After using the Sap of Truth, Silverwood reveals everything: the Demon King has awakened, is rampaging uncontrollably, and the ASC Controller will soon be destroyed. He also reveals that the Demon King, Faust, and Saint Valentine are the same person and that Faust created and sealed the ASC Controller. Lin insists they must stop both Prometheus and Faitrun before the ASC Controller is destroyed and the Demon King fully awakens. She also remembers to tell you that Beradrix and Sirius were urgently looking for you and urges you to head to the Port Lux manor immediately.

Mission of the King Slayer
The team moves to the Undead Ground to search for the ASC Controller. Sirius warns that Faitrun seems to have awakened as the Demon King and reveals the second mission of the Six Stars: each Guardian Knight was born with two missions, and the two who can oppose the King are Arionel and Yuan.[2]
The team splits up: Lin and Freed search for the ASC Controller, Mystic Blade pursues Silverwood, and Beradrix and Arionel prepare for Faitrun’s sealing. While Yuan searches for the Regicide weapon, Beradrix is killed. Arionel asks you to gather everyone for a brief funeral. At the time of Beradrix’s death, Lin is investigating the ASC Controller’s location. She is furious to learn that Beradrix has fallen, following Ike’s death.

Eradicating the Source of the Great Catastrophe
While searching for the ASC Controller, Lin learns from a bug planted in Prometheus’s base that it is in the Tower of the Dead. Lin and Sirius depart first, but as they enter the tower, they are ambushed by Lich Rigel’s minions. Sirius pushes the wounded Lin outside before returning inside. Lin, worried about Sirius’s condition, asks you to find him. Though Sirius survives, his injuries are severe. When the former Sage, Lich Rigel, awakens and the final battle begins, Lin urges you to fight for Nevarreth’s future. After Rigel is defeated and the ASC Controller destroyed, Lin notes that Prometheus will collapse as well. However, Sirius succumbs to his wounds, leaving his final words behind. After regrouping at the House of the Dead, the team barely has time to mourn before Faitrun takes Arionel to the Eternal Altar. The event happens so suddenly that no one can stop it. Lin wonders whether this was Faitrun’s will or the Demon King’s attempt to seal himself. After the Great Catastrophe is averted and the Demon King sealed, Lin reflects bitterly on the imperfect human era that follows—but feels relief that her comrades survived. After Faitrun’s sealing, Lin vows to rebuild the Thieves’ Guild and find ways to help those who once supported her.

2. Background Story
Mystic Blade is a silent, enigmatic warrior who once belonged to a secret organization. For unknown reasons, he abandoned the group, losing his sight in the process but gaining extraordinary extrasensory abilities.

Now, he wanders the world in pursuit of clues about the organization, particularly hunting Silverwood—the one responsible for his blindness. Though details remain unclear, his relentless pursuit leaves no doubt that Silverwood is the culprit.

While tracking Silverwood, Mystic Blade encountered Aldebaran. After a conversation, they formed a cooperative relationship. Following Aldebaran’s death, Mystic Blade joined the fight to save Nevarreth from the Demon King’s resurrection and the looming Great Catastrophe.

3. Role in In-Game Quests
Buried in Sorrow
Introduced when you meet Beradrix after Aldebaran’s death. Mystic Blade had been assisting Aldebaran and rushed to save him upon learning of the attack, but arrived too late—Aldebaran was on the brink of death. Before dying, Aldebaran entrusted Mystic Blade with records of an internal spy investigation in the Tower of the Sage and the identity of the traitor: Rigel, another Sage. Mystic Blade retrieved Aldebaran’s body and brought it to Port Lux. He agrees to move to Port Luina but warns that someone in the group might be under Prometheus’s control.

The True Nature of Prometheus
At the abandoned house in Port Luina, Mystic Blade senses an ominous atmosphere, fearing they made the wrong choice. The team splits into three groups: Mystic Blade, Yuan, and Arionel pursue Silverwood and Faitrun; Freed and Lin search for the ASC Controller; you and Nine infiltrate Prometheus’s base. Mystic Blade successfully captures Silverwood after a long pursuit.

Origin of the Demon King
Interrogation yields nothing—Silverwood refuses to reveal Faitrun’s whereabouts. Yuan suggests using an ancient technique: the Sap of Truth, which forces truthful speech by stimulating brain nerves. When you retrieve it, Mystic Blade admits he cannot use it due to his blindness and asks you to handle the interrogation. Under its effect, Silverwood reveals everything: the Demon King has awakened, is rampaging uncontrollably, and the ASC Controller will soon be destroyed. He also reveals that the Demon King, Faust, and Saint Valentine are the same person and that Faust created and sealed the ASC Controller. Mystic Blade remarks that no one has ever witnessed Saint Valentine sealing the Demon King and warns that if Silverwood’s words are true, they need an alternative plan.

Mission of the King Slayer
The team moves to the Undead Ground to search for the ASC Controller. While Beradrix is killed, Mystic Blade is tracking Silverwood. Upon hearing the news, he laments being deceived and losing his quarry. He rushes to inform Yuan and heads to the House of the Dead. Later, when Yuan returns injured after recklessly confronting Faitrun, Mystic Blade brings medicine from Hale—along with an unidentified vial. Unsure of its contents, he advises you to consult Soyoung, the magic merchant in Port Luina.

Eradicating the Source of the Great Catastrophe
While tracking Silverwood, Mystic Blade notices something unusual and returns. Though blind, his heightened senses detect the scent of magical reagents and blood near the Death Giant’s habitat, leading him to suspect Prometheus’s base is nearby. He then resumes his pursuit of Silverwood. After Sirius’s death, Mystic Blade apologizes for the delayed contact and insists they prepare for the possibility that the Demon King’s seal might fail. Later, he senses ominous energy spreading across the continent, likely linked to the Demon King, and asks you to investigate. After Faitrun is sealed, Mystic Blade vows to resume his hunt for Silverwood, declaring that one of them must die to end this story. He then asks what you plan to do next. If you’re uncertain, he gives you a task: to complete a small memorial stone for Ike, Aldebaran, Beradrix, and Sirius—fallen comrades. He says he started it near the House of the Dead but couldn’t finish it, and asks you to complete it.

Personality Optimistic and highly sensitive
아리오넬.png

2. Background Story
Arionel is an apprentice mage from the prestigious Cruze family, known for Force magic.

Though Ike calls her reckless, her summoning magic skills are exceptional—sometimes even surpassing the academy’s headmaster. The problem is her magic tends to be inaccurate, unstable, and unpredictable. Once, during a spell, she accidentally summoned ancient, powerful creatures, nearly causing disaster. However, this incident caught Aldebaran’s attention, and after some deliberation, he decided to recruit her into the Ruins Research Team.

3. Role in In-Game Quests
Prologue
Appears as a member of the Ruins Research Team. She introduces herself as clumsy and admits she almost caused a catastrophe by mis-summoning an ancient creature, which ironically led to her recruitment. She recommends meeting Ike, who looks after her.

The King’s Companion and Guardian Knights
While you were away, everyone disappeared, leaving Arionel confused. The third Apocalypse Card reveals her destiny as the King’s Companion. She experiences visions of a small boy but cannot see his face clearly—visions of pushing him into an eternal space. Though shaken, she accepts her fate. Later, she unexpectedly teleports using warp magic to meet Sirius, who confirms that all six Stars, except the last, have gathered and that they must find the King.

The King Has Vanished
In the Bloody Ice mines, Arionel is found crying inside a vampire lair. She explains that Nine was kidnapped by vampires during an expedition with Ike, who went in to rescue him but never returned. After the rescue, Ike survives, but Nine is poisoned by vampire venom. When Silverwood is revealed as the Knight of Betrayal, Arionel realizes the boy in her vision was Faitrun and feels sorrow. She joins the search for Faitrun, and when you bring him back safely, she thanks you and apologizes for not recognizing him, vowing to care for him.

Buried in Sorrow
She stays by Faitrun’s side until Silverwood attacks the lodging, abducting Faitrun and killing Ike. Arionel wonders how Silverwood knew they were alone. With Aldebaran and Ike dead and Faitrun missing, she vows not to let their sacrifices be in vain and promises to risk her life to awaken Faitrun as the true King and save Nevarreth.

When Sirius and you return injured, Arionel bursts into tears, fearing Sirius might die too. Later, when Nine is revealed as a traitor, she tries not to cry again but breaks down upon seeing Silverwood, remembering Ike.

Origin of the Demon King
Interrogation of Silverwood fails. Yuan suggests using the Sap of Truth, an ancient technique that forces truthful speech by stimulating brain nerves. When you retrieve it, Mystic Blade asks you to use it since he is blind. Arionel struggles to believe Faust and Saint Valentine are the same and laments Faitrun’s impending rampage.

Mission of the King Slayer
The team moves to the Undead Ground to search for the ASC Controller. Sirius warns that Faitrun seems to have awakened as the Demon King and reveals the second mission of the Six Stars: each Guardian Knight was born with two missions, and the two who can oppose the King are Arionel and Yuan. Yuan’s second mission is Regicide; Arionel’s is Sealing. If Faitrun does not seal himself, the Stars of Light must fulfill their second missions. Arionel sympathizes with Faitrun, saying she cannot force that poor boy into eternal confinement. The team splits: Lin and Freed search for the ASC Controller, Mystic Blade pursues Silverwood, and Beradrix and Arionel prepare for the seal. But then Faitrun appears at the House of the Dead, asking for the seal. Arionel hesitates, and Silverwood attacks to steal the Demon King’s power. Beradrix dies protecting Faitrun. Arionel informs the others and requests a brief funeral. After the funeral, Lin and Freed still cannot find the ASC Controller, and Mystic Blade has no leads. Sirius fears the Demon King’s rampage is accelerating and asks you to help Arionel attempt her second mission. He believes Arionel will instinctively find Faitrun and that the dagger Faitrun gave you, imbued with his will, will allow communication. Though unsure of herself, Arionel resolves to act to prevent further loss. She locates Faitrun instinctively. At the end of the Path of Death, Arionel finds Faitrun. She says he is still resisting within the Demon King and touches his heart with the dagger, connecting with his will. Faitrun, in agony, acknowledges his mission, while Arionel laments her inability to help him. After Sirius’s death, the team regroups at the House of the Dead. Arionel mourns him and wishes no one else would leave her. She feels powerless, knowing everything depends on Faitrun’s will.

Eradicating the Source of the Great Catastrophe
After the battle with Lich Rigel, Arionel faces Faitrun in his final awakening stage. Faitrun brings her to the Eternal Altar and asks her to seal him. Barely suppressing the Demon King, he urges her not to grieve over fate and to fulfill her second mission as the King’s Companion. Arionel complies, sealing Faitrun into eternal space.

Side Story
At the Undead Ground lodging, you meet Arionel, who complains about Ghost Bladers and asks you to eliminate them since she plans to stay there. After you clear the area of Ghost Bladers and Ghost Blader+, Arionel thanks you, saying she now has more freedom to move around.

2. Background Story
Nine was a promising student at the Academy, so it was natural for her to join the Tower of the Sage rather than the Wizard Guild. She graduated with top honors and became the youngest researcher in the Tower. Her intelligence and sharp mind earned her favor among the sages, and she seemed to adapt well to life in the Tower. However, one day Nine discovered something strange in the Tower’s archives—a small detail that left her with an unsettling sense of wrongness. Unable to ignore it, she secretly dug deeper. What she uncovered was shocking: a secret organization manipulating not only the Tower but the entire world, plotting the Demon King’s resurrection. Nine knew they would kill her if they learned she knew their secret. After discovering this truth, Nine fled the Tower, hiding in the frozen lands. As expected, the Tower sent pursuers after her. Anticipating capture, Nine split the information she found into two parts and hid them before vanishing into the icy wilderness.

3. Role in In-Game Quests
The King Has Vanished
Nine, once a Tower researcher, is now a fugitive after stealing critical data. Despite her betrayal, Sage Beradrix trusts her and seeks to protect her. At his request, you track her to Bloody Ice, only to find she’s been kidnapped by vampires. After rescuing her, Nine is found poisoned by vampire venom. You cure her using antidotes from various monster clans. Grateful but exhausted, she asks to rest. Once recovered, Nine reveals the mastermind behind recent events: the secret society Prometheus. Prometheus has infiltrated the Tower, Police, and Colony, manipulating the Merchant Alliance and Wizard Guild to steal Absolute Soul Core fragments from monster clan masters. They also plan to resurrect the Demon King—and Faitrun is their clone. Nine escaped the Tower with a map showing Prometheus’s base, which is why she was hunted. She split the map into two pieces: one was stolen by ghosts north of Bloody Ice, and the other she hid in Port Lux. However, the recovered map is badly damaged and full of symbols, so Hale is tasked with restoring it. When Hale disappears, Sirius takes over the decoding. Nine decides to report everything to Sirius personally.

Buried in Sorrow
After speaking with Sirius, Nine warns you to protect Faitrun, fearing Prometheus will target him. She leaves with Sirius to find Hale. Her fears prove true: Silverwood abducts Faitrun, and Ike is killed. With Aldebaran and Ike dead and Faitrun missing, Nine insists they strike Prometheus’s base first, believing it will lead them to Faitrun.

The True Nature of Prometheus
At the abandoned house in Port Luina, the team splits into three groups: Mystic Blade, Yuan, and Arionel pursue Silverwood and Faitrun; Freed and Lin search for the ASC Controller; Nine and you infiltrate Prometheus’s base. Following Nine’s notes, you witness Sirius disguised as Captain Mark confronting Rigel—only to learn the shocking truth: Nine has been controlled by vampires and acting as Prometheus’s spy. The entire infiltration plan was a trap set by Prometheus. Sirius and you are injured and forced to retreat, while Nine returns to Prometheus.

연구원 헤일.png

2. Background Story
Hale has worked for the Tower of the Sage for decades and now serves as a specialist in a sub-lab handling Colony research. He is also an old friend of Sage Sirius. Renowned as one of Nevarreth’s top researchers, Hale is constantly in demand for analysis work. However, his temper is short, and he is notoriously eccentric—so much so that he releases monsters around his lab to keep people away. Hale’s gambling addiction is equally infamous. He sometimes sells rare specimens to pay off debts, yet he never outright refuses a request for help, even if he grumbles about it.

3. Role in In-Game Quests
Anomalous Phenomenon
First encountered during Officer Dunhaike’s request. Hale lashes out at you for daring to ask a favor as a rookie but agrees to analyze a sample in exchange for delivering zombie blood samples to Bloody Ice. He warns you about the plague spreading there. Later, when you bring samples from the missing jungle expedition in Green Despair, Hale sarcastically remarks on your survival before analyzing them, revealing that parasitic plants in the ore caused the disappearances.

The King’s Companion and Guardian Knights
Initially annoyed by your visit, Hale softens when you mention Sirius and quickly deciphers the symbols, explaining: - “The seeker of truth who forgot death” refers to Skeleton Mage. - “The warrior who cannot sleep in the desert” refers to a special Mummy. - “The great desire gazing upon a crimson world” refers to Huge Spider. - “The gathering on the altar of snowstorms” refers to the Snowstorm Altar in Bloody Ice. Only those who solve the altar’s riddle can obtain what they seek. Following his clues leads you to the second Apocalypse Card. Later, Hale disappears due to gambling debts, leaving the ancient decoding book with Teski as collateral. After retrieving it, Hale laments his folly but gladly lends you the book.

Provocation of the Monster Clans
When you bring back the bodies of the missing jungle explorers, Hale performs an autopsy in exchange for recovering a weapon lost by Mitrof. After retrieving it, Hale completes the autopsy and sends the results to Shooterbuck.

The King Has Vanished
At Nine’s request, Hale attempts to restore the map showing Prometheus’s base, grumbling about being disturbed during his rest.

In Search of the Land of Death
Porter, tasked by Freed, finds Hale as the one who knows about the ASC Controller. Hale, having relapsed into gambling, demands rare specimens in exchange for information. After delivering them, Hale explains: Centuries ago, his mentor sealed the ASC Controller in the Undead Ground, following an agreement among the Seven Sages to hide it where no one could find it. Hale provides directions but admits he doesn’t know the exact location.

Eradicating the Source of the Great Catastrophe
On Sirius’s orders, you visit Hale for a wiretap device. Expecting a gift like a Ghost Blader+ sword, he eagerly awaits you. After you deliver the sword, he gives you the device. After Sirius’s death, Hale confirms rumors that the Tower of the Sage has been destroyed—by the Demon King. He predicts chaos for Nevarreth and foresees a looming war between Procyon and Capella, marking the dawn of the human era. Hale then gives you a letter Sirius entrusted to him long ago.

Dark Wizard Guild
When you return later, Teski recognizes you and asks what trouble has arisen this time. When you request a guild scroll, he remarks that he expected this. Teski explains that the Wizard Guild would have been fine if not for the sudden infiltration of suspicious dark wizards, which drove him to leave the guild.

Mission of the King Slayer
Teski has returned from his lab in Port Luina to his research base in Green Despair. When you bring him the final Apocalypse Card, he reacts indifferently but crafts a special device for you.

General Quests
According to Solme, Teski is searching for a skilled warrior when you meet him again. He greets you warmly, explaining that he came to Port Luina to explore ways to merge mechanics and magic. 2. Background Story
Skyld was born into the prestigious Miz family of Nevarreth. He calls himself a genius and roams the land, but in truth, his boasts are empty—his combat skills are those of a novice. Before leaving home, Skyld was a candidate for family heir, though no one expected much due to his constant troublemaking. His lies and exaggerations made him a nuisance, and the family barely noticed when he ran away—until they discovered he had stolen a family heirloom. The Miz family now hunts him, but Skyld continues to evade capture, claiming he left because his hometown couldn’t support his “potential,” while spending more time striking cool poses than training.

3. Role in In-Game Quests
The Strange Traveler Skyld
Skyld boasts that meeting him is an honor and claims he’ll teach you a technique to defeat Stone Beetles in one blow—another lie. After tiring himself out, he leaves to rest. Later, he calls you again, spinning tales about Raihona firing Thunder Beams and lecturing about his dream pet monsters. After completing the task, he mocks you for believing his nonsense. Next, he apologizes for lying and offers a tip: Two-Headed Hound hides from Forgotten Ruin fetch a fortune. This too is false—General Merchant Rivet calls the hides worthless and offers you credit out of pity. Skyld then claims Griffons are officially protected by the Tower of the Sage and that hunting them will get you punished—another lie. He boasts of noble Miz lineage and tells you to ask Mechias if you doubt him. Mechias confirms Skyld was once an heir candidate but ran away and is now hunted for stealing a family heirloom. Skyld denies this, claiming he left for “a bigger world.” On the sixth call, he brags about the new special combat Colony in Port Lux. On the seventh, he begs for money, claiming the Miz family faces ruin—a dubious story. On the eighth, he summons you to show off a bike, likely bought with the money you lent him. He promises to give it to you if you pass his “test,” but after you succeed, he pretends ignorance and offers something else instead.

Suspicious Sage
When sent to investigate, you find Skyld missing. Searching his home reveals a suspicious brown vial. Ridi identifies it as a memory-erasing potion. Following Marcus’s tip, you find Skyld suffering headaches and partial amnesia from drinking too little of the potion. He begs you not to report him to the sages.

Mechanical Monster Weapon
Through Cox, Skyld calls you again. Though still recovering, he claims someone sent him a healing potion, which he drank without question—luckily, it was from Ridi. When you meet him with Aizan/Elena, Skyld recalls seeing a small boy crying as he abandoned a massive mechanical monster weapon, which later activated and devastated the area. Seeking answers, Skyld approached the sages and ended up drinking the memory-erasing potion.

Skyld in Love
After asking you to hunt Richel in Illusion Castle Radiant Hall, Skyld falsely claims credit for the kill. When confronted, he apologizes and asks you to hunt a mermaid next. After several beatings, he admits he wanted to return home but lacked the achievements required—because he fell in love. His crush? Aizan/Elena. Skyld borrows money for clothes but instead buys a guard pass to gather information about them. When you fail to learn much, he asks you to deliver a love letter. Upon learning their true identity, Skyld is shocked but refuses to give up. Aizan/Elena, however, is baffled by his letter.

Prelude to True Battle
When asked about Aizan/Elena’s whereabouts, Skyld initially refuses but quickly relents if you promise to help him win their heart.

Despite this, he avoids staying in one place for long, making him difficult to find. Blackbard already knows what fate awaits Nevarreth.

3. Role in In-Game Quests
Winds of War
You meet him after accepting Cox’s request to eliminate Giant Scorpions. Afterward, Blackbard mentions Sirius and warns that Nevarreth stands at a crossroads: reclaim true sovereignty or collapse under the Great Catastrophe. He hints that even the Guardian Knights may fracture—but stresses that these outcomes depend on human choices, not divine will. When you bring him Zidash’s magic book, he remarks on the desperation it implies and notes that he alone can decipher it. He downplays the importance of who deciphers it, saying the real question is whether the calamity will truly end. He predicts the Demon King’s awakening and the dawn of a new era, speaking of what comes after the Demon King falls. Later, he advises you on calming the golems in Port Lux: bring them a Ghost Blader’s Ring from the Undead Ground. Though unsure if it will work after so long, he believes it might pacify them. When you deliver Morrison’s official letter, Blackbard predicts humanity cannot avoid war, calling it a necessary evil for the coming human era. He explains the roots of the Capella-Procyon conflict and warns you to choose your faction carefully, as the decision is irreversible.

2. Background Story
Ridi was originally a scientist from Senillinia, working in the Senia Tower. One day, strangers from the unknown continent of Nevarreth arrived, calling themselves Prometheus. They began secret research with the Senia Tower. This research brought disaster: a massive explosion destroyed the tower, Senillinia’s climate changed, and its people split into factions. Prometheus vanished without a trace. Enraged, the people abandoned the scientists in the tower. Two figures then approached the abandoned Ridi: the sages Capella and Procyon. They offered him a hand and asked for his help. Ridi accepted and moved to Nevarreth—but soon began doubting the sages’ orders.

3. Role in In-Game Quests
Discovery of Research
Introduced through Officer Shooterbuck’s request. Initially alarmed, Ridi calms down when you mention Shooterbuck. He admits he doesn’t know you and finds Nevarreth people intimidating. Unsure if his request amounts to treason, he asks you to decide carefully. Ridi has lived in isolation, meeting no one, so he tests your trustworthiness by asking you to collect shards from Forgotten Ruin. These shards, remnants of the past, hold strong magical energy needed for a sage-ordered experiment. Afterward, he asks for another test: bring an Ice Baba Yaga Orb from the Tower of the Dead. When you return, he reveals the experiment requires immense Force power—an experiment beyond common sense. After completing all tasks, Ridi shares his story: he came from another continent, brought by Sage Capella. But he now doubts his work, sensing Capella and Procyon are crossing a line they cannot return from. He urges you to meet the sages and uncover the truth.

Suspicious Sage
When questioned about his research, Ridi insists it’s vital and sage-ordered, claiming success could end the war quickly. He vows never to let Nevarreth become like his homeland. Later, you bring him a suspicious potion found in Skyld’s home. Ridi, puzzled, examines it and realizes it’s a rare memory-erasing drug obtainable only by the Seven Sages. After analysis, he confirms its purpose and urges you to find Skyld immediately.

First Meeting
You ask Ridi to create an antidote to restore Skyld’s lost memory. Initially reluctant, he agrees after Aizan persuades him. With the right materials, he crafts the antidote.

Mechanical Monster Weapon
When you deliver monster parts from Pontus Ferrum, the sage introduces Ridi as the analyst. Ridi pretends not to know you at first. Later, after hearing Skyld’s confession, Ridi admits the truth: he obeyed the sage’s orders against his will. He explains that the sages planned to develop intelligent weapons to replace humans in war, but control issues led them to abandon the prototypes in Pontus Ferrum—causing the Metal Clan outbreak.

Hell on Earth
Ridi, surprised you returned, wonders how to atone for the harm caused by his work. He asks how he can help. Aizan/Elena requests his analysis of Porta Inferno’s situation. When shown a shattered monolith fragment, Ridi senses ominous energy and promises to report his findings. The results shock him: the fragment radiates power unknown in Nevarreth—the lost ASC Controller’s energy. Ridi suspects the Dark Clan has reacted to it, endangering the entire continent.

Eternal Winter

  • Capella Route*

When you visit with Aizan for treatment, Ridi panics, then reveals that Aizan’s memory was altered by Sage Capella’s orders. He creates a potion to restore Aizan’s memory.

  • Procyon Route*

When you visit with Elena, Ridi suggests tracking the monolith. He crafts a reagent to trace its location, discovering the culprit is in the Bloody Ice Colony—someone you might know.

Prelude to True Battle
Before departing for Senillinia, Ridi confesses the truth: he was born there and once met the twin mediums. While researching ways to channel immense power into them, a catastrophe nearly destroyed the continent. To hide this, the sages concealed Senillinia’s existence. Ridi admits his ignorance was a crime—he blindly followed orders, causing disaster.

  • Capella Route*

When meeting with a distrustful Elena, Ridi is shocked and promises to keep her meeting with Aizan secret from the sages. Elena softens and asks him to maintain the secret briefly.

  • Procyon Route*

When meeting with a distrustful Aizan, the same exchange occurs. Finally, the sages reveal the truth: after Faitrun’s sealing, they discovered Senillinia during an expedition and found traces of Prometheus. Learning from Ridi that Prometheus still existed, they allied temporarily to protect Nevarreth by dividing the Demon King’s power—a decision they now regret. Ridi recalls being recruited by Sage Rigel, who worked with Prometheus on Absolute Soul Core research. Even after Rigel vanished, Prometheus endured. Later, the sages used Turner’s power to channel the Core’s energy into the twins. The power proved uncontrollable. Ridi drugged the twins to suppress it: Aizan lost his memory and power, but Elena’s strength grew instead. Ridi pities them deeply.

At the sage’s request, Ridi opens a warp to Senia Tower. During the battle with Turner, he sacrifices himself to save you, seeking redemption for his past sins. He is killed by Turner and the sages of Capella/Procyon.

2. Background Story
Turner is known as the “Savior” for treating wounded soldiers from both Capella and Procyon during the war, free of charge. He modestly rejects the title as excessive praise. Once a disciple of Sage Aldebaran, Turner vowed to end suffering after his master’s death. However, in truth, he allied with Sage Rigel and joined Prometheus. After Rigel’s death, Turner accepted Capella and Procyon’s request to perform the forbidden act of implanting the Demon King’s soul into twin mediums. Turner now plans to use Prometheus’s remnants and the Absolute Soul Core’s power to collapse Nevarreth’s systems and build a new order.

3. Role in In-Game Quests
Suspicious Sage
Turner humbly denies the “Savior” title. He recalls being adopted and trained by Aldebaran, graduating top of his class at the Academy. He claims neutrality, avoiding ties to Capella or Procyon, and asks you to keep his story from reaching their ears.

Mechanical Monster Weapon
When you visit about the missing guard, Turner is still treating the wounded, lamenting the endless casualties. He rescues Miles’s brother but warns his condition is critical and he may not survive the night. Turner vows to return the body to his family if he dies, fearing this marks the dawn of a true age of darkness. When Miles arrives, Turner urges him to believe that war must end and that ordinary people must act to stop it. He wonders what the sages will say to Miles.

Hell on Earth
Turner greets you calmly but is startled by news of a sage’s near-abduction. Realizing he’s under suspicion, he insists on his innocence and recounts his past: Born to refugees in Arcane Trace, Turner survived as a pickpocket until Aldebaran took him in as a disciple and adopted son. After Aldebaran’s death, Turner nearly died performing a forbidden act at Capella and Procyon’s request but was saved by someone he now serves out of gratitude—while secretly suppressing his desire for revenge. He begs you to keep his story from the sages.

Eternal Winter

  • Capella Route*

When you bring Aizan for treatment, Turner recognizes him, though Aizan denies knowing him. Turner suggests visiting Ridi. Later, after Aizan regains his memory, Turner claims the sages altered it and links Aizan’s awakening to Porta Inferno’s rampage. He says the twins’ scattered souls must reunite before their power destroys Nevarreth.

  • Procyon Route*

When you track the monolith’s destroyer, you find Elena unconscious. Turner treats her and reveals he knows her—and has been searching for her. He suspects Sage Capella took her sister. Turner admits he sought the ASC Controller’s power to reunite the twins before their powers spiral out of control. He warns that failure will doom Nevarreth and reveals the existence of Senillinia beyond the Sea of Senia, urging you to find him at the Senia Tower.

Prelude to True Battle
Upon entering the Senia Tower with the warp code, Turner greets you, declaring he must resolve what he started. He demands the twins be brought to him. Turner explains how to restore their lost lives: by removing the Absolute Soul Core from one twin before their powers explode—a task only he can perform. He asks you to retrieve an Ent Crystal from a raging Ent in the southern forest to resonate with their power. When you return, he says it failed because the twins weren’t together and urges you to reunite them quickly. When you bring Elena, Turner requests another material: a crystal from a Senillinia warrior’s shadow. Delivering it triggers the twins’ power—and Turner reveals his true colors, abducting them and expelling you from the tower. When you return with reinforcements, Turner confidently confronts you, having already awakened the twins’ powers. Their rampaging souls spiral out of control. The sages clash: Procyon argues for merging the souls to save one twin and harness the power, proposing Elena as the vessel since Aizan’s soul is collapsing. Capella warns that Elena’s survival would resurrect the Demon King and insists on killing her to destroy the power entirely. Suddenly, Procyon betrays Capella, siding with Turner to kill Aizan. Ridi uses a warp gate to evacuate you and Aizan, then seals it. When you return, Procyon and Turner have killed Ridi and vanished.

2. Background Story
Aizan is the leader of Capella’s secret knight order, tasked with protecting Sage Capella and carrying out covert missions. Originally a refugee child wandering Arcane Trace, Aizan was sold to Capella by her parents. Capella adopted her as a foster daughter and gave her elite training at the Academy, earning Aizan’s deep gratitude. When Nevarreth split into two factions, Aizan followed Capella to serve the Federation. However, during a mission to assist you, she met healer Turner and learned a shocking truth: within her resided the Demon King’s soul and the destructive power of the Absolute Soul Core. In reality, Aizan’s memories were fabricated. She was one of the twin mediums used in a forbidden experiment at the Senia Tower—intended as a vessel for the Demon King’s soul.

3. Role in In-Game Quests
First Meeting
Following Capella’s orders, Aizan searches for Skyld, who drank a mysterious potion. She deduces its effects and urges you to investigate Illusion Castle Radiant Hall. She doubts your resolve but pushes you to act. After finding clues, she expresses frustration at Skyld’s antics but agrees to help restore his memory. She persuades Ridi to create an antidote and advises calming unrest stirred by Eric and Miles, warning that forming a faction is far more dangerous than mere complaints.

Mechanical Monster Weapon
Aizan warns that Nevarreth’s monster clan balance is collapsing. She and her knights have secretly worked to maintain order, but a recent tragedy claimed a comrade’s life. She suspects the surge of mechanical monsters in Pontus Ferrum is artificial and asks you to gather proof. When evidence confirms her fears, she is shocked to learn from Ridi that a sage ordered the creation of killing machines. After thwarting a sage’s abduction, Aizan grows suspicious of Miles but refrains from judgment, considering the possibility of a setup.

Hell on Earth
As tensions between nations peak, Aizan reflects on vulnerabilities exposed by recent events. She reports on Porta Inferno, once home to Dark Clan monsters that avoided civilians but now inexplicably invading Nevarreth. She urges you to eliminate them while Ridi investigates a shattered monolith linked to the chaos. Even after the hunt, the situation worsens.

Skyld in Love
During a conversation with the sage, Aizan senses something is being concealed.

Eternal Winter
Aizan recalls memories of Arcane Trace and suggests subduing frenzied refugees there. Once a peaceful plain with an Academy, it became a haven for war victims who turned violent. Aizan wonders if her parents still wander there, revealing she too was a refugee before Capella adopted her. However, her memories unravel when the refugee leader recalls the missing child was a boy, not a girl. Aizan collapses from headaches and later awakens under Turner’s care, feeling an odd familiarity despite claiming not to know him. Turner sends her to Ridi, who restores her true memories: her soul was split in two, and the other half belonged to Turner—the one who divided it. Aizan recalls holding hands with a girl as they met Capella and Procyon, crossing to another continent to become vessels for the Demon King’s soul. She vows to find her other half and asks you to help.

Elena opens a warp portal to reveal the past: she and Aizan were twins subjected to Rigel’s cruel experiments, enduring fear and pain as Rigel raged over their failure to meet his expectations.

Prelude to True Battle

  • Capella Route*

Aizan reminds you of your promise and leads you to Senia Tower. There, Turner claims he can restore her life by removing the Absolute Soul Core from one twin before their powers spiral out of control. He asks for an Ent Crystal from the southern forest to resonate with their energy. When it fails, he demands the twins be reunited quickly.

  • Procyon Route*

When you inform Elena about Aizan, she reacts with hostility but agrees to verify your claim with Ridi. After confirmation, Elena asks Ridi to keep their meeting secret from the sages. She later joins you at the tower, clinging to hope.

Once all materials and people gather, Turner reveals his true intentions, abducting the twins and expelling you. When you return with reinforcements, Turner has already awakened their powers. The sages clash: - Procyon insists on merging the souls to save one twin and harness the power, proposing Elena as the vessel since Aizan’s soul is collapsing. - Capella warns that Elena’s survival would resurrect the Demon King and demands her death to destroy the power entirely. If you side with Capella and kill Elena, Procyon rebels, claiming Turner’s absence will trigger Aizan’s power and doom the continent. Ridi uses a warp gate to evacuate you and Aizan, sealing it behind you. In Ridi’s lab, Aizan awakens her power. The twins, reincarnated endlessly as mediums, embody the cycle of beginning and end. Once a single being (in a past life as Faitrun), they were split by fate mirroring Nevarreth’s division. Accepting her destined death, Aizan promises to return as one with her sister in the next life—and dies to restore balance.

Gender Female
Race Human
Affiliation Procyon’s Secret Magic Corps
Occupation Wizard
Location Room in Port Luina
Age 16
Personality Playful on the surface but bold at heart
엘레나.png

2. Background Story
Elena serves as a secret magical advisor to Sage Procyon, carrying out covert missions under his orders. Originally, Elena was one of the twin mediums used in a forbidden experiment at the Senia Tower, intended as a vessel for the Demon King’s soul. After the experiment failed, the twins were separated. When Nevarreth split into two factions, Elena followed Procyon and aided the Alliance. Unlike her twin sister Aizan, Elena knows they were raised by Prometheus and that the Absolute Soul Core’s power lies dormant within her. While searching for her lost sister, she learns from Turner that her twin also carries this power—realizing they are destined to die for the sake of a new world.

3. Role in In-Game Quests
First Meeting
Following Procyon’s orders, Elena searches for Skyld, who drank a mysterious potion. She deduces its effects and urges you to investigate Illusion Castle Radiant Hall. She doubts your ability but pushes you to act. After finding clues, she jokes about Skyld’s antics but agrees to help restore his memory. She persuades Ridi to create an antidote and advises calming unrest stirred by Miles, warning that forming a faction is far more dangerous than mere complaints.

Mechanical Monster Weapon
Elena warns that Nevarreth’s monster clan balance is collapsing. She and her elite magic corps have secretly worked to maintain order, but a recent tragedy claimed a comrade’s life. She suspects the surge of mechanical monsters in Pontus Ferrum is artificial and asks you to gather proof. When evidence confirms her fears, she is shocked to learn from Ridi that a sage ordered the creation of killing machines. After thwarting a sage’s abduction, Elena grows suspicious of Miles but refrains from judgment, considering the possibility of a setup.

Hell on Earth
As tensions between nations peak, Elena reflects on vulnerabilities exposed by recent events.

During a conversation with the sage, Elena senses something is being concealed.

Eternal Winter
Elena recalls memories of Arcane Trace and suggests subduing frenzied refugees there. Once a peaceful plain with an Academy, it became a haven for war victims who turned violent. After you eliminate their leader, Elena comforts you, remarking that Arcane Trace reflects the dark side of the human era—those excluded from the system live in misery. Suddenly, she confides in you: time is short, and she needs your help to find her lost twin. She warns that her sister is tied to a dangerous power and remembers everything—and that one day, you may stand as enemies. That day may come soon, as the power is on the verge of exploding. Elena links her own unstable power to the ASC Controller and urges you to seek Ridi’s help. Later, you find Elena unconscious after tracking the monolith’s destroyer. Turner treats her and reveals he knows her, sparking a tense exchange. Turner admits he sought Elena but doesn’t know her sister’s whereabouts, suspecting Capella took her. Turner reveals he sought the ASC Controller’s power to reunite the twins before their powers spiral out of control. He warns that failure will doom Nevarreth and reveals the existence of Senillinia beyond the Sea of Senia, urging you to find him at the Senia Tower.

Elena opens a warp portal to reveal the past: she and Aizan were twins subjected to Rigel’s cruel experiments, enduring fear and pain as Rigel raged over their failure to meet his expectations. Afterward, Elena bitterly reflects on the memory, revealing that she and Aizan were not just twins—they were once a single being. People called them mediums, vessels for the Absolute Soul Core’s power, destined to become like Faitrun. Elena admits she can no longer control her power and begs you to kill her sister if necessary to destroy the Core, even if it’s cruel—because she doesn’t want to doom the world.

Prelude to True Battle

  • Capella Route*

When you inform Elena about Aizan, she reacts with hostility but agrees to verify your claim with Ridi. After confirmation, Elena asks Ridi to keep their meeting secret from the sages. She later joins you at the tower, clinging to hope.

  • Procyon Route*

Elena reminds you of your promise and leads you to Senia Tower. There, Turner claims he can restore her life by removing the Absolute Soul Core from one twin before their powers spiral out of control. He asks for an Ent Crystal from the southern forest to resonate with their energy. When it fails, he demands the twins be reunited quickly.

If you side with Procyon and kill Aizan, Capella rebels, claiming Turner’s absence will trigger Elena’s power and doom the continent. Ridi uses a warp gate to evacuate you and Elena, sealing it behind you. In Ridi’s lab, Elena awakens her power. The twins, reincarnated endlessly as mediums, embody the cycle of beginning and end. Once a single being (in a past life as Faitrun), they were split by fate mirroring Nevarreth’s division. Accepting her destined death, Elena promises to return as one with her sister in the next life—and dies to restore balance.

Title Second Sage, Leader of the Pastur Continent

Race Human
Affiliation Tower of the Sage
Occupation Force Blader
Location 7th Floor of the Tower of the Sage, residing in Pastur
Age 38
Personality Pragmatic, intelligent, unforgiving of mistakes or betrayal
실루엣.png

2. Background Story
Capella is shrewd and deeply ambitious, often clashing with Procyon, who wields the greatest power among the sages. Her dismissive attitude toward him frequently provokes his anger. Her thirst for knowledge drives her to understand and control all things. Ultimately, she dreams of a democratic state where all live equally and works methodically toward that goal. She feared losing influence when Aldebaran returned from his travels to attend council meetings. More politician than sage, she dominated the continent’s governance while keeping the young sage Pollux in check. Though she and Procyon agreed on dismantling Prometheus, they hesitated because of Aldebaran—allowing his death to happen. After the Demon King vanished and Prometheus fell, Capella resolved to unleash her innate lust for power, ending their tacit alliance and sparking the birth of the Capella Federation and Procyon Alliance.

3. Role in In-Game Quests
Suspicious Sage
Introduced through Officer Shooterbuck’s recommendation. Capella remarks on the collapse of the Tower and the dawn of an era where individual will matters most—yet many struggle to adapt. She believes you share her vision of equality and asks for your help, starting with resolving colony unrest. Later, she summons you after hearing of your visit to Port Lux. She laments the colony’s division but insists ending the conflict swiftly is the only solution. After your report from Lake Side, she acknowledges public criticism but vows to end the war quickly. She then questions you about Skyld, who has gone missing, and asks you to find him. When the search yields nothing, she shows you an empty vial—once containing a truth serum.

First Meeting
Capella introduces you to her secret knight commander, Aizan, and provides a letter of introduction for Port Luina. If the Skyld search stalls, she recommends training in Forgotten Temple B1F, a perilous ruin from the Honorable Age. She assigns you to defeat Felicra there, promising Aizan’s respect upon success.

Mechanical Monster Weapon
After Aizan’s report, Capella learns of villagers forming a secret faction and vows to prevent further unrest. She expresses frustration at being misunderstood. She tasks you with investigating Pontus Ferrum, where monster clan balance is collapsing. She warns of the Metal Clan’s strength and mourns Aizan’s fallen comrade. When you return with monster parts, she introduces Ridi for analysis. Later, she attempts to persuade Miles to abandon rebellion but fails. Soon after, she is nearly abducted by assailants but saved by Aizan.

Skyld in Love
Redujin accidentally overhears Capella’s private conversation with Aizan, where Capella urges patience despite Aizan’s demands.

Eternal Winter
Recovering from the abduction attempt, Capella is alarmed to learn someone shattered Porta Inferno’s monolith, breaking an unspoken taboo even after the Tower’s fall. She sends you to maintain order in Arcane Trace. Later, she dispatches you to Senillinia, citing your success in Arcane Trace. She stresses the need to win local trust and aid the people, as Capella’s plans depend on their cooperation. She explains the southern forest’s mutation since the tower explosion and orders you to investigate its accelerating corruption. Capella confesses her mistake: Turner has escaped and met Aizan, creating a dire situation. She apologizes for failing to inspire trust and reveals Turner’s plot. In a joint meeting with Ridi, Capella discloses the truth: after Faitrun’s sealing, she discovered Senillinia and traces of Prometheus. Learning from Ridi that Prometheus still existed, she and Procyon allied temporarily to protect Nevarreth by dividing the Demon King’s power—a decision she now regrets. She explains that Rigel recruited Ridi and that Prometheus continued Absolute Soul Core research even after the Demon King’s fall. When Rigel vanished, Prometheus faltered but endured. Later, the sages used Turner’s power to channel the Core’s energy into the twins. Ridi drugged them to suppress it: Aizan lost her memory and power, but Elena’s strength grew uncontrollably. Capella insists Turner must be stopped and the twins saved—even if it means allying with Procyon.

When you return to the tower, Turner has already awakened the twins’ powers. The sages clash: - Procyon argues for merging the souls to save one twin and harness the power, proposing Elena as the vessel since Aizan’s soul is collapsing.

When you return, Procyon and Turner have fled, leaving Capella and Ridi’s corpse behind. Capella weeps, suspecting Procyon’s collusion with Prometheus. She admits her choices were wrong and warns of the greatest crisis yet: Nevarreth must not fall to Procyon. She pleads for your strength. You vow to fight—not for ideology or politics, but to protect those you love. You foresee Nevarreth’s eventual unity, though only through bitter sacrifice, as with the twins’ deaths. You accept your role as the key to fate, bearing infinite possibilities, and resolve to confront the Capella-Procyon conflict head-on.

The Huan Continent houses the 6th-floor branch of the Tower of the Sage, a symbol of authority. Procyon, its overseer, is effectively the true power behind the outer tower. He champions a system where a strong leader distributes resources, strictly controlling information to realize the Tower’s ideal society. Ascending to sagehood at a young age, Procyon has maintained his position for years, forming a tense rivalry with Capella despite their shared rank. He feared losing influence when Aldebaran returned to attend council meetings. Like Capella, he prioritized political dominance over scholarly ideals, even restraining the young sage Pollux. Though both saw the need to dismantle Prometheus, they hesitated because of Aldebaran—allowing his death. After the Demon King vanished and Prometheus fell, Procyon resolved to assert his ambition, ending their tacit alliance and igniting the Capella Federation–Procyon Alliance conflict.

Procyon insists that defeating such forces is humanity’s destiny, declaring that only humans can save themselves from the coming chaos.

Procyon confesses his mistake: Turner has escaped and met Aizan, creating a dire situation. He apologizes for failing to inspire trust and reveals Turner’s plot. 2. Background Story
Unlike other sages, Rigel rarely appears in public, shrouding herself in mystery. Unlike Aldebaran, who often wandered the world, Rigel remains almost completely unknown and does not govern any continent, drawing little attention. Those who have met her describe her as cynical toward human society, likely due to hardships in her past. The title of Sage Rigel has traditionally been passed down to a chosen disciple.[2] It is believed that the current Rigel was an orphan before being adopted by the previous sage. After entering the Tower, Rigel learned vast knowledge from her mentor and successfully inherited the title of Sage.

3. Role in In-Game Quests
The True Nature of Prometheus
Before his death, Aldebaran reveals Rigel as the Tower’s internal traitor. It was Rigel who lured the Sword of Guardians into a trap. At the vampire lair identified as Prometheus’s base, Rigel confronts Sirius. During the confrontation, it is revealed that Rigel kidnapped Nine and turned her into a spy. Rigel accuses Sirius of living in comfort, ignorant of hardship, and declares her intent to “overthrow this flawed world and create a perfect one” using the Demon King’s power. Sirius doubts anyone can truly control such power, but Rigel insists it’s possible with the ASC Controller. She wounds Sirius in battle before retreating.

Eradicating the Source of the Great Catastrophe
Rigel makes a critical mistake by leaving her ring behind in the vampire castle, exposing Prometheus’s true base. At the Tower of the Dead, she injures Sirius and Lin but fails to stop you from destroying the ASC Controller. Enraged, Rigel laments that a millennium of planning has been ruined and declares that without the ASC Controller, no one can stop the Demon King. She then awakens Lich Rigel, the former sage and leader of Prometheus. While Lich Rigel fights, Rigel escapes.

Eternal Winter
When Elena opens a warp portal to reveal her past, Rigel’s role in the twins’ suffering is exposed. Elena and Aizan were subjected to Rigel’s experiments, terrified and in pain, while Rigel raged that they achieved what she desired too easily.

Race Human
Affiliation Tower of the Sage > Sword of Guardians
Occupation Blader

Age 73
Personality Kind and benevolent
시리우스.png

2. Background Story
Sirius has long served Nevarreth as a sage of the Tower, wise and seemingly all-knowing, earning deep respect as a spiritual leader among the Seven Sages. He honored Saint Valentine’s legacy by establishing special combat Colonies in hazardous zones. While Bloody Ice, Green Despair, and Desert Scream were completed, the remaining two were halted when Sirius mysteriously vanished. Despite an extensive search, Sirius was never found, and the Tower declared him dead, appointing a successor who still believes Sirius lives. In truth, Sirius survived, preparing in secret for the destined day foretold a millennium after Saint Valentine’s sacrifice.

3. Role in In-Game Quests
Prologue
Disguised as the eccentric “Captain Mark,” Sirius lives in hiding. When you track him down via the Eillen siblings’ contact, he initially resists but warms upon hearing news of his old comrades. After you deliver the contact, he declares the time has come. When you bring him the Apocalypse Card from the ruins, Sirius reveals you are the prophesied figure—the card’s seal could only be broken by you. He explains the Great Catastrophe of a thousand years ago and warns that Nevarreth’s anomalies signal the awakening of the Six Stars of Darkness or the onset of another catastrophe. Your mission: find the four Guardian Knights and the King’s Companion. Sirius begins decoding the card.

The King’s Companion and Guardian Knights
Unable to fully interpret the symbols, Sirius directs you to Researcher Hale, the best analyst in Nevarreth despite his eccentricity. Following Hale’s clues, you retrieve the second Apocalypse Card. Sirius rejoices at the lead to the Stars of Light and reveals the Memorial Core’s location. From the desert, you recover the core, which displays the faces of Beradrix, Yuan, Lin, and Freed—the Guardian Knights destined to avert disaster. When all but the King’s Companion gather, Sirius stresses the urgency of finding the last Star before darkness claims the King. The third Apocalypse Card, retrieved from a bunker in Bloody Ice, again requires Hale’s expertise—but Hale has vanished due to gambling debts. After recovering the ancient decoding book, Sirius deciphers the card, revealing Arionel as the King’s Companion. With six Stars united, Sirius warns: find the King and awaken him to light before darkness transforms him into the Demon King.

The King Has Vanished
Nine is rescued but poisoned by vampires. While searching for antidotes, the team discovers fragments of an armband. When reassembled, Sirius is horrified—it bears the mark of the Knight of Betrayal, one of the Six Stars of Darkness, destined to deceive the King and usurp his power. Sirius fears Faitrun may be the prophesied King and urges haste, lest he awaken as the Demon King. After Silverwood’s defeat and Faitrun’s rescue, Hale restores a map to Prometheus’s base, but its cryptic symbols require decoding. Sirius studies ancient records, uncovering a journal predating Saint Valentine’s sacrifice. It mentions Dr. Faust, a genius who created the ASC Controller—a device to regulate the Absolute Soul Core. Sirius suspects Prometheus knows of the ASC Controller and that Faitrun is a clone of the sealed Demon King. He vows to find Hale and decode the map.

Buried in Sorrow
While Faitrun is missing, Ike is slain, and Sirius is gravely wounded by vampires. He asks you to fetch glacier herbs for recovery. Once stabilized, Sirius notes the attack suggests an insider leak—likely a brainwashed pawn. Before another strike, he relocates and sends you to Aldebaran for clues, only to learn Aldebaran has been murdered.

The True Nature of Prometheus
Sirius infiltrates the vampire lair marked as Prometheus’s base and confronts Sage Rigel. Rigel vows to “overthrow this flawed world and create perfection” using the Demon King’s power. Sirius doubts anyone can wield such force, but Rigel insists the ASC Controller makes it possible. Rigel wounds Sirius before fleeing. Learning Nine was a spy devastates Sirius, yet he prioritizes securing the ASC Controller and Faitrun over her rescue. When the team regroups, Sirius reveals Rigel as Prometheus’s leader and fears they’ve located the ASC Controller—and that Faitrun may already be awakening as the Demon King.

Origin of the Demon King
Unlike others, Sirius is unsurprised by revelations from Silverwood’s interrogation. He muses on the theory that Faust and the Demon King were one and the same, noting even Saint Valentine may have shared Faitrun’s duality.

In Search of the Land of Death
A broken warp circuit bearing “ASC” alarms Sirius, who recalls the Undead Clan’s habit of leaving records. Convinced Prometheus has allied with them, Sirius deduces their base lies in the Undead Ground—but insists the ASC Controller, sought by Freed, takes priority. He urges you to investigate personally.

Mission of the King Slayer
After Hale confirms the ASC Controller is indeed in the Undead Ground, the team moves out. Sirius warns that Faitrun may have awakened as the Demon King and likely possesses at least two Absolute Soul Core fragments. If true, they must prepare a last resort: regicide. Each of the Six Stars bears two destinies, and among them, only two can oppose the King and break his power—Arionel and Yuan. Yuan’s second mission is Regicide; Arionel’s is Sealing. Since no one knows whether Faitrun will seal himself like Saint Valentine, the Stars of Light exist to fulfill these roles if necessary. Arionel sympathizes with Faitrun upon hearing of the seal, while Yuan accepts her mission without hesitation, fearing Nevarreth will fall into hell if she fails. She sets out to find the Regicide weapon. Beradrix laments Arionel’s cruel fate but admits his own mission is Sacrifice. The team splits: Lin and Freed search for the ASC Controller, Mystic Blade pursues Silverwood, and Beradrix and Arionel prepare for the seal. Sirius reveals one Apocalypse Card remains, held by the Phantasmal Clan. How they obtained it is unknown, but they used it to ensure their race’s prosperity. Sirius wishes to retrieve it himself but, weakened by Rigel’s attack, asks you to recover it. After slaying Buruk in Lake in Dusk and securing the card, Sirius declares it the key to saving the world and sends you to Teski. Delivering the card with Freed, you find Teski back in his Green Despair lab.[1] Though indifferent, Teski crafts a special device. Freed, puzzled by the device, suggests returning to Sirius. Sirius explains its purpose: it channels the Apocalypse Card’s energy to temporarily suppress the Demon King’s power. He entrusts it to you, saying its moment will come. After learning how to use the device, Freed urges you to return to the House of the Dead ahead of him, worried about leaving Arionel and Beradrix alone. But you arrive too late. Inside, you hear Arionel’s screams and the clash of battle. Rushing in, you find her sobbing. She explains: Faitrun stole a Core Fragment from the Phantasmal Clan, bringing his total to two. Overcome with despair, he sought Beradrix and Arionel to seal himself. But while Arionel hesitated, Silverwood attacked to seize the fragments. Beradrix sacrificed himself to save Faitrun, who vanished once more. Mortally wounded, Beradrix declares he fulfilled his mission and urges you to protect Nevarreth before dying. Sirius regrets leaving them alone but vows their sacrifice will not be in vain. Because Beradrix belonged to the Tower, Sirius asks you to deliver his remains to Desert Scream for a formal Police funeral. Meanwhile, Yuan, enraged, rushes off with only the Regicide weapon to confront the Demon King, forcing you to pursue her. Despite Lin and Freed’s efforts, the ASC Controller remains missing, and Mystic Blade’s hunt yields nothing. Sirius fears the Demon King’s rampage will soon escalate. Though civilians remain unharmed for now, that may change at any moment. Sirius asks you to accompany Arionel as she attempts her second mission. Drawn by the Demon King’s aura, she will instinctively find him. Sirius believes the dagger Faitrun once gave you, imbued with his will, will allow communication. After returning from your encounter, Sirius thanks you for bringing everyone back safely. He marvels at Faitrun’s strength of will in choosing self-sealing—but warns that if Prometheus reaches the ASC Controller first, even Faitrun’s resolve will not matter.

Eradicating the Source of the Great Catastrophe
In Prometheus’s base, you find a uniquely carved ice ring. Sirius recognizes it as Rigel’s, noting her habit of imbuing personal items with elemental traits. The ring reacts to the Ice Castle’s gate, confirming the enemy stronghold. Sirius deems an immediate assault impossible due to their numbers and instead orders you to infiltrate and plant surveillance devices. The intel reveals the ASC Controller’s location. Sirius storms the Tower of the Dead with Lin, battling Rigel’s forces. After a brutal fight, Lin is wounded, and Sirius faces Rigel alone. Gravely injured, Sirius is rescued by you but laments not prioritizing the ASC Controller—humanity’s fate hinges on it. The Demon King seeks to destroy the ASC Controller to sever Faitrun’s will, while Prometheus aims to use it to subjugate the Demon King. Now weakened by the Demon King’s assault, the device must be destroyed. Sirius entrusts this task to you. You shatter the ASC Controller and defeat Lich Rigel, but Sirius’s wounds prove fatal. With his dying breath, he urges faith in the will lingering within the Demon King and the hope that Faitrun can prevail. The team mourns the loss of their wise leader.

2. Background Story
Beradrix rose to prominence as the youngest-ever Eighth Sage, a meteoric rise that shocked Nevarreth. Yet she was born an orphan of humble origins. Surviving in harsh Nevarreth without parents was nearly impossible, especially as Beradrix suffered from a congenital illness that left her near death—until Sage Aldebaran secretly saved her. He sponsored her education through the Academy until adulthood, keeping his aid hidden, though Beradrix eventually discovered the truth. Grateful, she vowed to dedicate her life to the Tower of the Sage and climbed to its highest ranks. Beradrix lives with an incurable illness and a limited lifespan, yet faces life with optimism. Beneath her smile, however, burns a determination to uncover the Tower’s secrets about ancient history.

3. Role in In-Game Quests
Prologue
After leading the Ruins Research Team to Desert Scream, Beradrix asks Dunhaike to recommend an exceptional trainee. Officially, her mission is to support the expedition, but secretly, she seeks a warrior for an unofficial task. Once the team assembles, she orders two objectives: expand the survey area and transport excavated relics to the Tower immediately to prevent Thieves’ Guild raids. Later, when a relic found in Zone 2 requires Sirius’s expertise, Beradrix recalls his last meeting with Magic Merchant Sullivan and suggests contacting him.

The King’s Companion and Guardian Knights
The Memorial Core you collect reveals Beradrix, Yuan, Lin, and Freed as the Guardian Knights of Light. Shocked by her destiny as the King’s protector, Beradrix joins you in unlocking the seal in an underground bunker east of Bloody Ice to retrieve the third Apocalypse Card.

Provocation of the Monster Clans
When you report Shooterbuck’s suspicion of a hidden power behind the Wizard Guild, Beradrix is alarmed. She deduces the guild seeks the Absolute Soul Core and explains its nature: the source of the Great Catastrophe a millennium ago, a secret even within the Tower. She warns that the seventh fragment likely lies with the King’s Star—and if anyone gathers more than two fragments, even the seventh fragment’s bearer cannot oppose them. The King must be found quickly.

The King Has Vanished
Beradrix asks you to inform the investigators about the Absolute Soul Core and deliver a report to Aldebaran. When you return, you learn Aldebaran has left for urgent business. Beradrix relays his message: protect Nine, a prodigy who fled the Tower with critical data. She insists on finding Nine before the Tower does. When you locate her, Nine is kidnapped by vampires and poisoned. Beradrix orders you, Yuan, and Lin to secure antidotes from the mutant, plant, and undead clans. When you bring back a torn armband fragment, Beradrix notes similar finds from other clans. It belonged to Silverwood. She suspects he and Faitrun have been hunting monster clans together and sends the completed armband to Sirius. Later, she is stunned to learn Silverwood is the Knight of Betrayal and Faitrun the King.

At Port Lux, Beradrix updates you: Aldebaran is investigating the Tower while she probes the Wizard Guild, now infiltrated by cultists allied with Prometheus. She asks you to seek Teski’s help. After retrieving a guild scroll, Beradrix remarks that Teski seems to trust you. Analyzing the scroll, she locates the guild’s lab near the southern lighthouse. There, you recover a mage’s book and a vial of blue liquid. The book mentions Port Ruina—a secret known only to the Tower’s upper echelon—confirming an internal traitor. The vial, derived from impurities in ore, weakens Plant Clan monsters, proving collaboration between the guild and Metal Clan. Beradrix recalls the guild’s staged attack in Green Despair and concludes the cult, guild, and Metal Clan are allied. She vows to protect Faitrun and destroy Prometheus.

Buried in Sorrow
Shaken by Ike’s death and Faitrun’s disappearance, Beradrix resolves to strike Prometheus’s base. Before leaving, she sends you to check on Aldebaran—only to find him slain. She introduces Mystic Blade and asks you to bury Aldebaran’s remains at Port Lux’s cliffside. With Sirius wounded and multiple losses mounting, Beradrix agrees that attacking Prometheus is the only option.

Origin of the Demon King
Beradrix fears the Demon King’s revival as monster clans rampage across Port Lux and Port Ruina. Silverwood’s revelation that Dr. Faust and Saint Valentine were the same person shocks her, but she focuses on preventing Faitrun’s rampage. She sends you to the Phantasmal Clan lair, where you find only a dagger—Faitrun’s parting gift. Beradrix entrusts it to Sirius for safekeeping.

Mission of the King Slayer
After Hale confirms the ASC Controller’s location in the Undead Ground, the team moves out. Sirius warns that Faitrun may have two or more Core Fragments and urges preparation for the last resort: regicide. Among the Six Stars, only two can oppose the King—Arionel (Seal) and Yuan (Regicide). Beradrix laments Arionel’s cruel fate but admits his own mission is Sacrifice. The team splits: Lin and Freed pursue the ASC Controller, Mystic Blade hunts Silverwood, and Beradrix and Arionel prepare the seal. Then Faitrun appears. He has seized a fragment from the Phantasmal Clan, bringing his total to two. Overcome with despair, he seeks sealing—but while Arionel hesitates, Silverwood attacks to steal the fragments. Beradrix shields Faitrun and sacrifices herself. Mortally wounded, Beradrix declares she fulfilled her mission and urges you to protect Nevarreth before dying. Sirius regrets leaving them alone but vows their sacrifice will not be in vain.

알데바란.png

2. Background Story
Aldebaran is one of the seven sages of the Tower of Sages. While not as popular as Sirius, he is still beloved by many. He is an authority on ancient history research and roams across Nevareth under anonymity to collect data.

Always smiling, Aldebaran gives off a friendly impression and seems carefree, but occasionally he delivers shocking information before disappearing into hiding. According to Beradricks, he is polite to those he dislikes but very friendly to those he favors. He shares a deep bond with the 8th Sage, Beradricks, and some gossipers even claim they would have made a perfect couple if not for their status.

One day, Aldebaran returned to the Tower of Sages after a long journey. People assumed he would leave again soon or was simply taking a break, but they were wrong. Aldebaran began attending sage meetings he had long avoided and started involving himself in continental affairs. He also took on the role of general manager of the relic investigation team.

Most welcomed Aldebaran's change, but not everyone. Among the sages, Procyon and Capella, who were hungry for power, felt uneasy about his return and feared he would uncover their corruption. They tacitly allowed Prometheus to assassinate Aldebaran.

However, Aldebaran had already discovered the identity of Prometheus's spy within the Tower. Before dying, he entrusted this information to the Mystic Blade.

3. Role in In-Game Quests
Prologue
At Beradricks's request, Aldebaran takes on the role of general manager of the relic investigation team and introduces the player to future companions.
Later, when the player retrieves a glowing relic alone, Aldebaran suspects it reacts only to the player. Even he is unsure of the relic's true nature and suggests seeking Sirius's wisdom. Though believed dead, Sirius is actually in hiding. Aldebaran asks the player to find him.

Spread of the Cult
While investigating relics, a cult spreads across Nevareth. Aldebaran asks the player to halt the investigation and resolve the issues caused by the cult.

The King Has Vanished
When they meet again, Aldebaran marvels at how much stronger the player has become. He deduces that the armband fragments found on the monster clan were originally one piece.
After retrieving Phaetron, Aldebaran diagnoses him as suffering from severe guilt and explains about the Guardians of the Sword—a group that protects the king, including the Six Stars of Light. Even the relic investigation team members were destined to be part of the Guardians. Sirius was their leader. Aldebaran believes the only task left is to eliminate the dark organization.

Dark Wizard Guild
Aldebaran visits Beradricks with urgent news: the cult is backed by the Dark Clan, and the Wizard Guild is using Force knowledge to induce monster mutations. They have allied with the Metal Clan to attack the Plant Clan. All of them seek fragments of the Absolute Soul Core and dream of destruction and rebuilding a new world. Aldebaran worries about how they intend to control such immense power.

Burying Sorrow
When the player visits under Sirius's orders, Aldebaran is already dead, having been killed while investigating inside the Tower of Sages. In life, he loved the cliffs along the Port Lux coast for their beautiful sunrises and sunsets. His remains were laid to rest there.

Sage Betelgeuse

1. Overview

Sage Betelgeuse
Title 5th Sage
Gender Male
Race Human
Affiliation Tower of Sages
Occupation Warrior
Location 7th Floor of the Tower of Sages
Age 58
Personality Cautious, reserved, with an air of mystery
실루엣.png

2. Background Story
Betelgeuse, though not as reclusive as Rigel, rarely shows himself and seldom reveals his thoughts. When seen, he appears deep in contemplation and speaks little.

The 5th Sage was one of the three disciples present when Saint Valentine sealed the Demon King in the Land of Ice and drew his last breath.[1] The current 11th-generation 5th Sage, Betelgeuse, secretly inherited Saint Valentine's final words from his predecessor. For reasons unknown, these words shocked him deeply, causing him to withdraw and reflect for a long time. Naturally reserved and secretive, and given that this secret is passed down to only one person each generation, no one else knows its content.

Nevertheless, Betelgeuse values the Tower of Sages and the role of the Seven Sages as the keepers of Saint Valentine's legacy. He will not stand idly by and watch the Tower fall into division.

Sage Pollux

1. Overview

Pollux
Title Young Sage
Gender Male
Race Human
Affiliation Tower of Sages
Occupation Force Shielder
Location 7th Floor of the Tower of Sages, Midreth
Age 15
Personality Often stressed and gloomy, precocious
실루엣.png

2. Background Story
The Pollux family has held the position of the 7th Sage for generations. However, young Pollux was unprepared for the role. If the 10th-generation 7th Sage had not died suddenly due to health issues, Pollux would not have inherited the position so soon.

Of course, the Tower of Sages does not assign such roles based solely on bloodline. Even at a young age, the 11th-generation Pollux possessed remarkable abilities, making him fully qualified. Still, Pollux found the sudden responsibility overwhelming. He also suffered under the subtle but constant pressure to uphold his family's legacy.

The other sages were of little help. Aldebaran was wandering, Sirius was missing, and Rigel refused contact. Ambitious Capella and Procyon constantly excluded and monitored him, while the remaining two sages had no real connection with him.

Given these circumstances, it was inevitable that Pollux lost motivation. Despite being the symbolic leader of the Midreth continent, he became indifferent to politics and ambition.
